This is my entry to Win a 100 POB delegation #4 by @vempromundo. I wanted to write this the whole week, but right now my work is really demanding of me, so most of my attention goes to it. I'll write about that whining in another post. This one is about my creative process to post here on POB.
For me, the first step into writing a post is to wait for inspiration. If nothing interesting comes to my mind I really can't create something to talk about. Most of the time my inspiration comes out of nowhere when I'm doing my daily things: cleaning the house, washing the dishes, cooking, a 25 minute meeting that could be an e-mail, one phone call from an angry parent, and so on. And normally it's not related to what I'm doing, it's like my mind wanders off and bring me something different from what I'm experiencing at that moment.
So after I get the inspiration for it, I go through a mental process to decide if it will really become a post or if just something to forget. I was going to write but I decided to do a flowchart to make it easier to understand.

This is the first time in my life making a flowchart, be nice to me ok?
When I say to throw back into the universe, it's because I really believe that all ideias are everywhere, and maybe this can be something useful for someone, so I should let it go if I'll not use it. And after a while maybe someone changed a little and sent it again to the universe and it comes back to me as a new inspiration.
So after I decided it's worth to post, I start to have a conversation about it with myself (I talk A LOT to myself), checking the different angles to it, where it could fit in my own story, test some of the jokes, until I'm satisfied with it. Then, it's time so sit and write.
This is the moment that my imagination really goes wild and I picture myself around a fire with my friends, and I'll tell them something. I think this is when I'm most comfortable to open up and share my ideias. I've been in this situation so much in my life that I always go back to that feeling to start writing. And just like in those moments, I never rewrite what I'm writing, I just let the flow of the fire guide me.

After I finish telling my story, I go after the images. I always try to find some old pic of me or of my things. I also try as much as I can to create an image using Canva, because I feel it's a nice touch to autenticity. And my last resort is to go to Pixabay and find something interesting to fill my post. (and some times I even mash many pixabay images in canva, just because I'm finding really fun to play with images.)
Sometimes, when I got the time or strength, I translate my post to Portuguese. I like to do a manual translation after I wrote it in English, because I think that automatic translation looses a lot of the emotions from it and also there are some specific expressions that only work in one language or the other. And that's why is not every time I can post in both languages.
After that, I just hit post.
