Sleep is an important part of our daily lives and it is very important we get enough of sleep at all times.
Without sleep one cannot maintain a balanced brain because the brain won't function well which will make the brain more harder to concentrate and respond quickly.
Some brain functions need enough sleep to function well especially the nerve cells. Studies makes us understand that the brain and body stays very much awake while we sleep.
We all need to create time for ourselves to have a good and sound sleep because it affects every tissue and system in out body from the brain to the heart, lungs, metabolism, immune function, mood and disease resistance. Recent research also shows that a chronic lack of sleep or getting poor quality sleep increases the risk of disorders including high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, depression and obesity.
Tips on how to get a good night sleep
1]. Set a time:
Try to have your own convenient personal time anytime you want
to sleep like setting alarms and follow the time daily till you feel some changes in your sleep pattern.
2]. Exercise:
Everyday I make sure I workout for at least 10-20mins daily. My favourite workout is the pushups. Exercise helps to stabilize mood and decompresses the mind as well.
3].
Reduce taking caffeine and nicotine late in the day
