Last year when I got into marcial arts, me and my friends always would talk about amateur MMA fights, and how and why we shoud arrange some battles putting normal people up to fight with each other. Just to enjoy some violence without the danger of someone pulling off a knife during a man-to-man street fight.
Time went by and not before last month I stumbled upon this Streetbeefs channel on youtube. It's all about backyard MMA fights. Man, I'll tell you. We became obsessed about it. We have now all the plans well detailed and already progressing on them.
I know. The idea of a "fight club" sounds too cliche at first. But give it a thought. How many times have you ever fought for life? Probably few. So did I. With everything around us, all the comfort industrial society has brought us we all know and feel that we don't have our primal instincts strong as it should be. Because of the way we live now, nobody needs to be agressive anymore, and much less one need to hurt anybody, and if someone does it, he deserves a sue and/or prison for sure. So that's it. We just want to fight legally. Only five minutes per round. At max. 3 rounds. Anyone can sign up to fight. Weight classes. UFC rules. MMA gloves. No drug addicts allowed, no guns and no drinking.
I'm now totally breaking the first and second rules about Tyler Durden's Fight Club, but damn it, it's our fight club anyway, and it's called CANIL. Something like "Dog Cage". For this first period I'm spreading the world about it and writing on a list the names of guys who want to fight. Right now we have 4 people. We need some 10 more.
The big problem for us to solve to get this MMA fights going is the bloody Pand3m1c. Here in my town it's still diffuld to gether many people together, once the c0v1d rates aren't getting any lower.
Anyway we'll do it. We decided to get a place in the country side of town, so the chance of cops coming by are fewer. And also we'll get to record everything on video and upload it on youtube.
Let me know what do you think about this idea of ours, and if you would ever join a challenge like literally fighting just for the sake of it.
