Hello Hive community friends, Good afternoon and blessings. Btw, do you like reading philosophy? If so, surely you know a philosopher named Albert Camus. Albert Camus is a philosopher known for his thoughts on the absurdity of life, alienation, and rebellion. Even, he is often associated with the school of existentialism philosophy. One of Camus' famous works is "The Myth of Sisyphus", in which he questions the meaning of life and explores living trapped in meaningless routines. But I don't want to go into that. I would like to discuss the life of Squidward Tentacle with whom I have something in common. But there will be a correlation with the ideas of Albert Camus.
In Albert Camus' view, life often feels absurd and without clear meaning. This is related to the feelings of Squidward and me, who live under financial constraints, monotonous routines, and the fact that the efforts we make to achieve satisfaction or success often feel wasted and unappreciated. You can see for yourself the artistic genius in Squidward, but people never praise him and are always belittled. Like Sisyphus in the classic myth described by Camus, Squidward and I may feel trapped in a routine cycle that has no clear purpose. However, in Camus' view, rebellion and individual freedom are appropriate responses to the absurdities of life. Even though Squidward and I are stuck in an unfulfilling routine, we can find freedom in being rebellious about our circumstances. This rebellion may manifest in seeking to improve one's self-esteem, seeking small joys in life's moments, or creating meaning and purpose.
Albert Camus's thoughts also highlight the importance of awareness of the alienated human condition. Squidward and I feel cut off from a society that is more affluent or successful. Squidward and I feel unappreciated or unrecognized for our efforts and talents. In this context, people who suffer the same fate as Squidward, including myself, must have solidarity and empathy for individuals who face difficulties and alienation. In the lives of Squidward and mine, Albert Camus' thoughts or ideas can be a call to face a situation with his head held high. Even though life feels absurd and limited, those of us who share the same fate will be able to find freedom and meaning in rebelling against these circumstances. Awareness of the alienated human condition can generate empathy and solidarity with other individuals who experience annoying situations like this.
However, it is important to remember that Albert Camus's thoughts are only one of my perspectives on understanding life and human beings. Each individual has their own unique experience and interpretation of their circumstances. For Squidward and also for me, maybe some other thoughts or views are also relevant and useful in looking at life which sometimes really sucks. Thank you for being willing to read my writing, I hope you enjoy it. It doesn't matter if you don't appreciate it, after all, life is absurd. hahaha 😂
