Introduction
Our brains don't work via stimulus and response. we don't just receive input and then produce an output, instead our brains predict what's going to happen in the world. We are constantly modeling the world making like simulations, thinking what's going to happen, constructing models in our brain, and then once we experience actual physical stimuli then our brain corrects these like models and assumptions that it's made.
So, you don't directly experience the world, you experience your brain's model of the world and that model is formed by your past experiences, by the things you've learned, and your beliefs.
The Brain and Perception
Your perception of the world literally creates the world, it creates your experience of the world, so if you believe like i do. The bees are scary for example, when you're walking around outside, you're gonna be more aware of potential threats from bees if a bee does appear you're gonna be into a fight or flight mode.
But another person can see the same bee and and see it as like a helper something friendly, that's you know helping the environment, pollinating flowers.
It's the same exact thing but we have different perceptions of it and our different perceptions of it create different realities in each of our minds and this applies to absolutely everything in life.
Brain doesn't really care what the actual reality is. It just creates the reality that you experience based on what's useful to you in that moment and based on past experiences. You never perceive the actual reality you're just perceiving the constructed world that your brain has made for you which is constantly updating when it receives actual sensory input.
This is why things like hallucinations and illusions happen, because your brain constructs something and then maybe you look at it longer and you realize it's not actually what you
thought it was and then it gets corrected.
Your brain has made the prediction and you experience that prediction that it's already made, only later does it get corrected.
I guess the point of all this is to say that your beliefs and perceptions of the world are extremely important because they literally create your experience of the world. You don't experience things how they actually are, you experience things how you believe them to be.
So you need to have the right beliefs and perceptions of the world that will be like helpful to you instead of harmful.
Reality of Awareness
If you have all these negative beliefs about yourself, that's going to be reflected in your reality, because that's the model your brain is operating from. So you need to put the right models in place you need to have the right mindsets that will allow you to become the person you want to be, and do the things you want to do.
This takes a lot of self-awareness realizing what beliefs you have that are holding you back, like if you visualize your goal what do you actually want to achieve. Think about whether your current beliefs are going to help you get there or if they're going to hinder you.
If you want to get rich then does your belief that rich people are evil and it's impossible to make money without being a bad person. Is that belief going to help you ?
Conclusion
So, you need to examine your beliefs and your views of the world and choose the views and the beliefs that will help you to do whatever you want to do and be whoever you want to be. Because when you have these belief systems in place this will guide your thinking and your Behaviour and your behaviors will create your reality. It all starts in your mind, it all starts with your mindset.
