Have you ever wondered the reason for the disappointments we have in life? Obviously, getting frustrated is something extremely normal and will happen countless times in all of our lives, however, I believe that by understanding the source of these dislikes, we can minimize their effects (MINIMIZE, never eliminate).
I believe that many of our disappointments stem from the expectations we create about a particular situation or project. Being betrayed by a person you feel love or deep in admiration for is extremely different from being betrayed by someone close to you, but you don't hold any kind of affection. Being fired from a job you dreamed of being and feeling fulfilled when you go daily is very different from being fired from a company where sometimes you are well paid, but you don't feel satisfied or welcomed in the place. But why is there this difference? Why do I suffer more in one situation than the other? What weakens us and exposes us to situations of complete despair is, in most cases, the expectation we create.
Don't get me wrong, a life without expectations would probably be an empty life, without great joys. What I'm trying to bring with this reflection is a coming of age about how much faith you should put into each project or relationship. Therefore, unlike what happens with children, who bet all their chips on everything, if we are able to do this control, we will be able to minimize the suffering that will inevitably arise, making us less fragile.

Grandes expectativas nos deixam frágeis!
Por acaso você já se questionou o motivo das decepções que temos na vida? Obviamente, se frustrar é algo extremamente normal e acontecerá inúmeras vezes na vida de todos nós, contudo, acredito que entendendo a fonte desses desgostos, podemos minimizar seus efeitos (MINIMIZAR, jamais eliminar).
Creio que muitas das nossas decepções têm origem na expectativa que criamos acerca de uma determinada situação ou projeto. Ser traído por uma pessoa que você sente amor ou profunda admiração é extremamente diferente de ser traído por uma pessoa próxima, mas que você não guarda qualquer tipo de afetividade. Ser demitido de um emprego que você sonhou em estar e se sente realizado ao ir diariamente é muito diferente de ser demitido de uma empresa que, por vezes você até é bem remunerado, mas não se sente satisfeito ou acolhido no local. Mas, por que há essa diferença? Por qual motivo sofro mais em uma situação do que na outra? O que nos fragiliza e nos expõe a situações de completo desespero é, em grande parte das vezes, a expectativa que criamos.
Não me entendam mal, uma vida sem expectativas provavelmente seria uma vida vazia, sem grandes alegrias. O que estou tentando trazer com essa reflexão é um amadurecimento acerca de quanta fé você deve empregar em cada projeto ou relação. Portanto, ao contrário do que acontece com as crianças, que apostam todas as suas fichas em tudo, se formos capazes de fazer esse controle, nós conseguiremos minimizar sofrimentos que surgirão inevitavelmente, nos tornando menos frágeis.
