Dice yo soy la luz, esto cambia todo nuestro panorama ya que Jesús no dice: "yo tengo luz". Vivimos en un mundo lleno de sombras, de medias verdades, caminos dudosos o que no nos llevan a ningún lado. Jesucristo se nos presenta como esa persona que nunca falla, esa luz que nunca se apaga y la claridad que necesitamos para vivir en medio del mundo de oscuridad.
Tengamos en cuenta estos atributos de Jesús que no solamente son aplicables a la vida espiritual, la luz de Jesús se aplica en todo, en nuestra vida entera ya sea en nuestras decisiones, en el trabajo, en el colegio, en TODO.
Nos vemos que después dice que quien le sigue no andará en tinieblas cada pieza es firme ya que podemos ver con su luz y podemos evitar lo que no debemos hacer, desarrollamos en Cristo en la capacidad de detenernos cuándo es el momento, todo esto nos permite vivir mejor, nos permite vivir la verdad a la luz de la palabra.
Cuando sentimos es un momento que pareciera que estamos caminando a ciegas y que no tenemos certeza o no tenemos ni una mínima idea de lo que viene por delante, generalmente queremos tomar las decisiones por impulso pero este versículo nos da luz para que nos decidamos por Jesús ya que él es quien ilumina nuestro camino y cuando hay luz todo cambia.
He says, "I am the light." This changes our entire outlook, since Jesus doesn't say, "I have light." We live in a world full of shadows, half-truths, dubious paths, or paths that lead nowhere. Jesus Christ presents himself to us as that person who never fails, that light that never goes out, and the clarity we need to live in the midst of a world of darkness.
Let's keep in mind these attributes of Jesus, which are not only applicable to the spiritual life; the light of Jesus applies to everything, to our entire life, whether in our decisions, at work, at school, in EVERYTHING.
We see that later, he says that whoever follows him will not walk in darkness. Every piece is firm, since we can see by his light and avoid what we shouldn't do. We develop in Christ the ability to stop when the time is right. All of this allows us to live better, allowing us to live the truth in the light of the Word.
When we feel like we're walking in the dark, uncertain, or without the slightest idea of what lies ahead, we generally want to make impulsive decisions. But this verse gives us light to choose Jesus, since He is the One who lights our path, and when there is light, everything changes.
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
