The Bristol researchers mention that this continent will act as an amplifier of climatic extremes, it will be a hot, dry land, much of the supercontinent will be a gigantic uninhabitable desert scorched by high temperatures and all this will become more complicated as the sun becomes increasingly brighter as millions of years pass, emitting more and more energy and warming the earth more.

The tectonic processes that occur in the Earth's crust and that give rise to the formation of the super continent will also produce more frequent volcanic eruptions that will produce enormous releases of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, increasing the greenhouse effect and warming the planet even more.

Another of the most curious statements of this study is that mammals could become extinct. According to researchers, mammals have evolved to survive cold temperatures, their tolerance to high temperatures has generally remained constant, this makes exposure to heat extreme and prolonged is much more difficult for mammals to overcome.

The researchers' calculation in that future states that in the super continent only between 8% and 16% of the land would be habitable for mammals, the result would be a mostly hostile environment, devoid of food and water sources for mammals, with widespread temperatures between 40 and 50 degrees Celsius and even higher daily temperature extremes.
