Despite the confidence displayed by teachers, it is important to note that teaching is not an easy job.
People get to become more experienced while on the job but first impression doesn't go off easily.
Teachers know this and they know how important their first impression can be so, whenever they meet new set of students, they try to establish a suitable teacher-student relationship. Their first target is to create an avenue for students to develop confidence in them - Some succeed, others fail.
Whatever the case may be, you've got to know that teaching is an adorable role for people to play in society. I call it the noble profession and it's living up to my hype.
For many people, teaching is seen as a profession that suits their passion. They like to contribute their quote to mankind by enlightening students in classrooms. These are the type that embraces any teaching opportunity that comes their way. They love the job and they burn their night candle to give their students the best.
Unfortunately, being passionate about teaching is not enough to qualify anyone as a quality teacher.
I know a handful of teachers that l would forever hold in high esteem. They taught me most of the things l know and they are doing the same for many lads and ladies. I count them as quality teachers and dish out my respect for them.
My emphasis is on quality teachers because it would be fallacious to say that all teachers have the quality that is required on the job.
Some are bearing that title to fulfill all righteousness. They don't care about the welfare of their students neither do they want to improve their students. They are just on seat because there is nothing else to do and they feel like being active in the labour force.
Being a Nigerian in Nigeria, l must say that I've crossed path with people like this, but that is one of the stories that will be reserved for another day.
