This was originally gonna be one post - but when I started writing it, I realized that I didn't want it as one post.
Explanations and foundations first, the finale second.
I didn't want to make it 'too busy' - which is what it would have been, in my opinion - IF the finished vid was part of this post...
Too messy.
Too much information.
Too much noise..
The video that I'm making is one I want served on its own.
Ok, just to confuse you even more, the post contents are in reverse order from the posts title....
Lets begin...
Synchronicity.

Synchronicity is something that I pay very close attention to - and have done for most of my life.
I was aware of it, even before I could put a name to it.
Taking note of events that are seemingly unconnected, but somehow making connections and pointing in directions has served me very well.
As @denmarkguy said in one of his recent posts - WE DON'T KNOW EVERYTHING.
I accept that synchronicity may well be one of those things...some kind of 'universal energy' at work, one that we can't , as yet, really comprehend...
Anyways, enough of 'the cosmic angle, man..'.
Back to my synchronicity in the real world...

....is the cover of a track I wanted to use, for an upcoming video re : Hive, my perspectives, and my passion...
Whats so synchronistic about it?.. (I hear you ask, in my made up voice).
Well I'm glad you DID ask - 'cos I'm gonna tell you!
.....There have been several times in my life when people from my past, appear to me.
At important times - when I'm asking myself 'important questions'.
I'm not talking some hippy dippy, 'making appearances', or anything like that - I'm talking faces of the past coming into my field of vision - or awareness - whether it's in a photo, or a film, or any other medium...People that are (or have been) really important to me.
...People that have had a real influence in my life, who've shaped me into the person that I am today.
And so it was with this cover to the song that I was tracking down for my video.
I'd been searching for a while, listening to several versions of this track, until I came across this one.
I never even looked at the cover until I'd listened to it and thought 'yeah, this is the one'...
Then I noticed the cover.
It's me!
...And my very beautiful Irish, ex girlfriend - from 25 years ago.
I'm not kidding.
(When I've time, I'll try to get in touch with the artists to see if I can track down who drew it).
Of course it might not be me and my gorgeous Irish colleen - but if it isn't - I'd be quite surprised!
(edit - this is not about seeing myself at all - but my ex..)
So yeah, you could say that 'the synchronicity' really hit me over my head hard, with that one.
What does it say to me?
Lot's.
But I'm not sharing that with you, at least not yet - maybe never, we'll have to see.
What I will tell you though, is that this girl has had one of the biggest effects in my life.
Maybe the biggest single person ever, after my Dad.
We haven't talked for over a decade, and I can't say that I miss her. Looking backwards just ain't ma thang...
But I'm incredible happy for her, and the life that she's created for herself.
She really is one of natures truly beautiful souls....
And that's enough for me.
Ok, that's my 'synchronicity part' of the experience.

First, a very brief historical synopsis to give context to the song – and how I interpreted in my own mind, but in relation to the HIVE ecosystem.
( 'spiritually Irish' rebel I am - even though I'm ' a proddy bastard' - as my Irish colleen so lovingly used to call me).

History.
The 'Black and Tans' were recruited as reinforcements during the Irish War of Independence.
About 16,000 men were enlisted during the conflict.
Most of the Black and Tans were unemployed former British soldiers and officers, who’d fought in France in the First World War, and who joined up to go off to Ireland - for economic reasons mostly.
They were offered good wages, chances for promotion, and even the prospect of getting a pension.
The Black and Tans gained a reputation for extreme and severe brutality.
They were notorious for carrying out reprisal attacks on civilians (and their property).
This included extrajudicial killings, child murders, child rape, rape, arson, and looting.
They were, essentially , a seriously nasty, bunch of twats. Twats who were, not doubt , psychologically scarred after coming back from 'the great war'...
And a rabid Rottweiler is still a rabid Rottweiler , no matter how it contracted rabies.

The first time that I ever went to Ireland was a 'spiritual experience for me. (I was 21 -ish).
I felt more at home there - within 20 minutes of being in the country, than I ever felt in my 20 odd years, in England.
Yeah that kind of spiritual experience. (and if it had sunshine for more than 3 1/2 hours a year, I'd live there, no doubt).
When I listen to the above song, it fills me with emotion - as do most Irish songs.
Deep rebellious emotions - and just how important it is to be free.
To feel free.

My 'imaginational stretch' in applying the lyrics are just that – mine – so it’s an attempt to let you see what it is that I'm seeing in the song… in respect to HIVE, not Ireland.
There’s not a lot of point making this video if the messaging , spirit, and passion that I feel , is lost through some misunderstandings…(imo)…
