"And who was the dog's envoy?" Here in Brazil, there is a matter of great respect for the mother figure in our lives. I don't know if it's for the reason of parental abandonment or for some other reason, but I suppose that the vision of the "Brazilian mother" is linked to the protection and love that children need. This kind of admiration remains well into adulthood. Today I admit I had a difficult day. As I told my lovely mother what had happened, she looked angrier than I was.
My weekend was blurred by a very bad situation, which I didn't tell her about, but between cups and cups of coffee, accompanied by French bread and butter, I told her how I felt. I explained to the mother figure what I felt during the time I was allowed to speak. She listened carefully and asked me what happened.
Realizing what I wouldn't say, he finally asked me what I had left undone because of the whole situation. Before going on a trip I took over the weekend, I had some plans and allowed myself to share them with her.
When explaining what happened, I noticed that I lost a good part of these same plans because of the problem I faced. With a wet dish towel over her shoulder and her hair tied back while she prepared her lunch box for work, her answer was another question... "WHO WAS THE DOG ENVOY THAT DID THIS?".
The burst of laughter was instantaneous and at the same time, I got a glimpse of reality. The person who did that was not a good guy who made a mistake. Not a good friend who faltered on a random day. That's what she said... And in a more explicit translation, in Portuguese this means that the person caused a great discomfort and the responsibility for that is her. Envoy of the dog would be an envoy to cause something bad.
I don't have a solution, but putting the situation on the table and understanding the reality helped me understand the whole. Anyway. I dedicate this text to the dog's envoy... And I warn you, my mother exposed you.
