Hey!
One of my favorite quotes from Lao-Tzu is the following:
“If you’re depressed, you’re living in the past. If you’re anxious, you’re living in the future. If you’re peaceful, you’re living in the present.”
So how can you live in the present more often?
Gratitude.
A daily gratitude practice is one of the most effective ways to remain in the present moment.
Why?
Because it changes how you perceive situations and shifts what you focus on.👓
🎠 When you focus all of your awareness on being grateful for what you have right now, at this very moment, there is no space for negative emotions and thoughts to enter.
Emotions like worry, sadness, doubt, anger simply begin to fade away.
Ancient Taoists followed a gratitude practice too. Applying gratitude to their Qigong practices and incorporating the 5 elements of Chinese medicine, they created an incredible method for experiencing emotional balance.
My POB proof of practicing Gratitude daily: 👇👇👇
I'm practicing gratitude, awareness, being present and paying attention, focusing, and savoring life!
Today, modern science has revealed that practicing gratitude is an efficient way of neuro-hacking.
When you practice gratitude, your brain releases the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin.
The chemicals are responsible for positive emotions and help boost your mood, feel more alive, sleep better, express more compassion and kindness, and even strengthen your immune systems.
So what are YOU grateful for today?
With friendship and respect!
