There are so many languages all around the world, don't be so surprised there are some you've never even heard of. I really appreciate people who always have others at heart when doing something at times. I saw an article on hive today which had a part of it translated in English language and the other Portuguese. Opening this post I felt relieved and thought about this wonderful human that had someone like myself at heart before making the post. He or she must have gone through a lot of stress doing that but still had to because of the thought that some people may not understand Portuguese.
Kudos to all those who can translate from one language or more to the English language.
Taking an instance myself! I can actually speak my local dialect but I dare not speak of putting it down in words. I'm a total mess when it comes to doing that. If I even try I end up scribbling the whole thing off.
I can't write my local dialect nor think of reading it. I find it a bit difficult reading my local language. I have tried but failed on many accounts lol.
I once had a friend who was a translator he used to translate the Rhapsody of realities for my Church. He had volunteered to help translate this book to another language. One day when I had the opportunity of having a heart to heart talk with him, I asked him how the world of translation was and guess what? He said it wasn't easy but then he enjoyed his job. That's the part I love more! Where he's doing it for the love of it.
He told me stories of how he had to put heads with other translators to get a book well translated. I found interest in translating but the problem was I couldn't even translate my own language to even speak or think of translating a language like Chinese lol.
I had the opportunity to visit their office once but too bad I was carried away admiring these super intelligent souls and asking so many questions that I forgot to take pictures lolz.
Speaking of translations! The holy Bible which most of us study today was actually translated by people. History makes me understand that the Bible was written in the Hebrew Language, super amazing and cool. People translated that book to the English language which all of us can read today. It must have taken them months or probably years to do that but then they didn't relent and that's just where my joy lies. I'm looking forward to being a translator too one day by the grace of God.
Kudos to translators here on Hive and around the world ( and Google too, lol.)
