Let's have a look at curation rewards after the recent HF
If you have been checking on your APR on https://hivestats.io you might know how high it was pre HF25. For me it was generally between 10-12% which was average for anyone using a combo of manual and auto voting. After the HF it is now hovering at around 9% which is better than I thought. It means that most users are probably experiencing a 2-4% drop in curation rewards.
You can see the declining curation rewards in the account growth if you are on Peakd and look under "tools". They are clearly visible starting a week after the HF at July 7th:
This is another graphic that isn't too accurate as I have updated my delegations recently. But one can see the spike at around July 5th when it was possible to get extra curation rewards for voting on pre HF posts. Since then it sees to be stabilizing at 14-15 Hive opposed to about 16-17 Hive pre HF. Overall this is a small trade off considering how it has improved the Hive user experience in general. I think many people are now (perhaps for the first time) voting on things they actually like without having to worry about curation windows and maximizing their rewards. Comments are now also much more fun to upvote and I think this is already leading to much more organic growth!
If you interested in raising your APR you can always try to lease your HP at https://hive.dlease.io/ There are offers at around 13% currently which seem like a good deal. However, I'd always recommend to keep these services at a balance. It's not helpful for the hive community if everyone is leasing out their Hive power to other people that can then use it for anything they want (which also means e.g., content that perhaps shouldn't be rewarded as such).
Another great way to earn more rewards of course is to post in communities that have their own tokens. #Leo and #PoB are great examples and you should consider posting there if your posts fit the community guidelines.
Lastly, all Hive users that powered up their Hive are receiving around 3% APR for staking Hive. This makes an overall APR of about 9+3=12% which is still great!
