You might have already seen the boat ride on the river Seine in Paris, this is a follow up with the Eiffel tower
When one gets close to this building one can really see the intricate details of this architectural masterpiece. For many it might be a disappointment that it's so expensive to take a ride up (one can also walk to the first platform), but of course it might be worth it. Especially if Paris is a once in a life time event. Since I visited Paris more than once I didn't go up to the top and instead enjoyed it from the bottom. In fact, I'd recommend taking some time to just appreciate the design from the ground:
There are other buildings in Paris (although not quite as high) that you can walk/ride up, sometimes even free of charge. So the Eiffel tower isn't necessarily required to take in the view of Paris from the top. These pictures are from the top of a museum which had a spectacular view over Paris at sunset.
