Today I'm back here again to participate in the #FungiFriday challenge hosted by @ewkaw.
There are at least three types of mushrooms that I'll be showcasing this time. These are my discoveries this week while mushroom hunting in nature. I do this for fun and am always interested in learning more about the diversity of fungi.
First, I found this mushroom growing in the grass. I'm showing two versions: the first with its umbrella still closed and the second with its umbrella open.
This mushroom looks very beautiful when its umbrella is open. The underside of the umbrella looks like gills and has beautiful dividing lines, with an upright stem about 3 cm tall.
And this is the hair mushroom, which is hard to spot if we don't look closely. It grows on dry leaves, and is very small, about the size of hair.
Lastly, this is a type of trumpet mushroom. But this one has dried out and looks shriveled from the heat of the sun.
It's shaped like a trumpet with an oval-shaped umbrella. The stem and umbrella of this mushroom have fine hairs. I found it growing on dry wood, and I hope we'll find this type fresh next time.
