Hello friends,mushroom hunters
Fungi Friday is approaching, it's time to move and step into the lush underbrush,which means there's no word 'give up' when hunting for mushrooms, especially in summer.Hunting for those far from the mainland will be very enjoyable and presents its own challenges,as summer is considered one of the toughest seasons for mushroom hunting.However,there’s no giving up for me,even if I have to go to the edge of a cliff,since the land is already dry with no moist branches where they grow.I need to prepare extra energy for this mushroom hunt;thank God I am fortunate that there are still remnants of mushrooms alive during this summer season.
Like one type of mushroom,this polypore or bracket species has a long-lifespan. I found it in a ravine buried under fallen tree leaves.To photograph this mushroom,I needed patience to clean the portions of leaves covering it.I had to lift it to a better place to take some parts of this mushroom.Mushroom hunting isn't always enjoyable;there are times when you really have to struggle to get it,full of risks and challenges. All work demands that if you want to succeed,you must try your hardest. However,if you prefer to be lazy,then your life will remain the same,and I don't care about the risks I face once I start my work activities.In one type,I found two versions of this bracket mushroom species,one slightly thinner and the other thicker.But both are enjoyable.
Still on the same day, at first I hoped to find tiny types of mushrooms in the forest I was heading to,even though it was difficult. For me, that hope still existed;no one knew their whereabouts, perhaps they chose to shelter themselves to prolong their thriving period.I was very sure I would find them yesterday, but after I carried out my action for a few minutes,signs of the presence of tiny mushroom species were not visible. I did not just give up;the hunt continued, looking in every corner of the damp bushes. As a result,among the many and overlapping piles of wood,I saw one species of hard mushroom that was slightly yellowish and bowl-shaped.Yes, the microporus xanthopus species,one of the yellow-stemmed mushrooms, still looked very fresh and beautiful,with no sunlight burning its flesh at all.It's only natural because this mushroom really avoids the heat of the sun during this summer.I carefully took the piece of wood where this mushroom was growing so that the branches wouldn't break, and I could capture all parts of their body. Then I placed it on the still green grass.
I continued my journey, I want to collect a few more mushrooms today,I still have a few hours left to hunt, and I make the most of the remaining time.I keep the hunting spirit from yesterday, under the shade of a big tree it is not too hot,only some sunlight shines on the grass through the gaps in the low tree leaves,so I don't sweat too much even though it still feels hot because in the valley there is no wind or air at all, breathing is a bit heavy because of being down for too long.I still endure for a few more minutes; the struggle is not in vain.In the gaps of tightly packed tree branches,there is a medium-sized part of a tree that is growing another type of hard mushroom,namely the potassium tail mushroom species or the Trametes versicolor species.This species of mushroom superficially resembles bracket fungi in terms of color,but upon closer inspection,the flesh of this mushroom is very thin and larger in size. In fact,if there is still a chance to survive,this mushroom can grow even larger.
