The weather is currently uncertain, as a country with a tropical climate, we will indeed find a lot of biodiversity here, but I think that we are now entering summer, maybe the dry season will hit for the next two or three months.
Yes, of course that's no reason not to take part in the #fungifriday challenge which is always hosted by our fungi queen @ewkaw. You don't have to always be tied to the rainy season to get your favorite mushrooms, indeed the rainy season is a special time for mushrooms to grow everywhere.
But we have shady forests and plantations of oil palm, cocoa and others that will protect the land from the scorching sun. Mushrooms love to be in places like that, so there's no excuse for #fungifriday without them. 😃
Even though it's summer now, a few days ago I continued my mushroom hunting trip in the morning. When we enter the cocoa plantation there will be a lot of annoying mosquitoes but that's no excuse. I keep entering the cacao plantation in search of several species of mushrooms. The many branches of trees that fall and rot, there will certainly be several species of fungi that grow and survive in this kind of weather.
I couldn't believe what I found that day, but of course it was them, I managed to find a few different species from my post last Friday.
Their slime mold is known for its uniqueness and very small shape. Maybe it's my lucky day or maybe we're meant to be. 😅
This is one of the slime molds Physarella oblonga that grows in hot weather. Of course they grow on rotting wood and are protected from the sun so that the wood is kept moist.
This Friday slime mold is again my idol to participate in, and another slime mold that fascinates me is Ceratiomyxa. They grew like a forest covered with snow, a dazzling white color.
I was lucky to find them growing on rotten wood planks and by chance I found a small snail and a small reptile that looked very much like a snake.
When I held the wooden plank for a photo shoot, suddenly the reptile came out of the mushroom pile, among the many photos, only one sheet focused on this reptile.
That's all for this Friday hope you enjoy and like it, see you next Friday
