Hi all 👋🏻
My contribution to this #FungiFriday’s Topic: “NOT A MUSHROOM” by @ewkaw will be a selection of Mushroom like things ~ in the form of SUN UMBRELLAS. 🍄⛱🏖⛱🍄
It fits this topic soooo well I thought.😇 As the shape is just perfect.
I live along the coast in southern Spain and all around me are sun umbrellas… in all kind of forms and shapes. But mainly they have the shape of a MUSHROOM.
Don’t you think they look like mushrooms? 🍄 🍄 🍄
Hereby my selection for you today:
These first “Not a mushroom” sun umbrellas can be found on the beach of Malagueta in Málaga city.
They are cute, and the “hairs” are blowing in the wind. They provide shade for the sun loungers.
These next slightly different looking sun umbrellas can be found in Puerta de Santa Maria on the beach at a chiringuito. (A restaurant on the beach) they have little fluffy bits on top all tight together. 😁
These ones are standing all tall…. And can be found on the beach Sabinillas.
If you look closely you see lots of bamboo sticks on the waterline, we had some bad weather back in 2016 that washed them down from the mountains all the way via rivers into the sea, where they washed up along the coast.
Another chiringuito on the beach, this time it is in Guadalmina. You can see here 3 different kinds of sun umbrellas/ protection. Pyramid like ones, the ones with the fluffy bits on top and plane white ones.
Let’s look further… I found a few more.
These ones I found on the beach in Estepona. They are a bit larger and very stif. Again their shape is different than the ones I showed you so far.
Now we are in Málaga city, the historical center and we find these 2 umbrellas in white. Providing some shade for the restaurants customers. Even they look like mushrooms…
And I just had to include this Bright Red Umbralla, being held by a lady also in red. To protect her from the sun. Standing at the entrance to Calle Larios in Málaga City. It could well have been a fly agaric. 🍄😉
I found also some different colours… here you see 2 bright yellow umbrellas providing some shade on a beach in Guadeloupe, a French Caribbean Island. Yes, it is not in Spain, but wanted to include them.
They have some amazing views… how lucky are those umbrellas 🤩😎 hahaha
And with this last photo of this shy, almost hiding away “Not a Mushroom” umbrella in the port of Sotogrande, I end my selection of “sun umbrellas” for this #FungiFriday’s topic Not a Mushroom.🍄⛱🏖⛱🏖🍄
Thank you so much for looking, reading and supporting me. Hope you enjoyed my mushroom like finds 🍄🍁🍄🍂🍄 and if you liked my post, an upvote or re-blog is always welcome 🙏🏻
