Hey friends, this is my second post in this community. I am a mushroom connoisseur, but I am also poor in knowledge of the types of mushrooms. All I know is ear mushrooms, edible mushrooms that grow under the trees around my house during certain seasons, enoki mushrooms, and button mushrooms. The rest I don't understand and I'm still a little afraid to consume it because some mushrooms have a fairly high level of poison if we can't process them.
When I was a child I was traumatized by the poisoning of mushrooms that grow under the melinjau tree, actually the mushrooms that grow under this tree can still be consumed if we process them properly. The correct processing of this melinjau mushroom is by soaking the mushrooms in hot water that has been salted and washed so that the poison comes out. Only then can we process it into a menu. However, at that time I did not do the right procedure, I immediately cooked the mushrooms without soaking them in salt, so when I consumed them I felt dizzy and nauseous, thank God I did not experience excessive symptoms..ha..ha.. the experience of being a teenager which is worth learning.
Back again to this straw mushroom story, in my area for the past few weeks there have been rainy and hot seasons that alternate with a little wind, so at this time the phenomenon of Palm mushroom season appears, it is called palm mushroom because this fungus grows under palm trees, even though this fungus is classified as a mushroom. edible mushroom, but people who live in my area tend to call this mushroom palm mushroom.
And this afternoon when I was shopping at the market I found a trader who specializes in selling this palm mushroom, he looks for this mushroom in oil palm plantations, this trader is also a seasonal trader, when there are no mushrooms he will sell other merchandise. Here there are two kinds of palm mushrooms, one is shaped like small balls because this mushroom has not yet bloomed and the other is a palm mushroom that has fully bloomed, depending on our taste which one wants to buy, and I personally prefer the one that is already in full bloom, because of its stronger mushroom taste. This mushroom has a price of Rp. 23,000 per kilogram or the equivalent of US $ 2 dollars, but we can buy per gram. And I only bought 250 grams which I will prepare for my dinner today.
I decided to cook this mushroom by mixing the green bean seeds that I had soaked for one night, initially I intended to make bean sprouts, but I changed directions, and I will use these green bean seeds with a mixture of palm mushrooms and basic ingredients only .
The ingredients needed are also quite simple, namely onions, garlic, red chilies, cayenne pepper, tomatoes and salt.
All ingredients are coarsely sliced ββand stir-fried until fragrant, then add green bean seeds and add a little water after that let stand until the green bean seeds are soft.
then add the palm mushrooms, stir, add a little salt and wait for it to cook without waiting for about 5 minutes medium fire.
Sauteed mushrooms with green beans can be enjoyed.
And I choose to enjoy this mushroom with rice, it's very delicious beyond my expectations, tastes like chicken meat, really good. π
This mushroom is black and a little grubby, but we only need to clean it a little and wash it under running water, and because this menu is cooked, I will enjoy my cooking first friend for sure the taste is delicious because the flesh of this palm mushroom is chewy. but not hard, like the texture of chicken meat. nyamiiiii ππ
okay until here my post about mushrooms, look forward to my next post, especially about mushrooms and cooking them into delicious food. Thank you Greetings from us Tomi and Maya from the city of Binjai Indonesia.
