I've got this video since last week, but I kept it for later in the browser tab and only recently had a time to actually watch it. It's not mine, so I'm declining rewards, but I have to share it. I think it fits the #FungiFriday pretty good.
The author of the video visited family of hat makers that use traditional methods of processing certain type of pretty common mushrooms into "leather" and then into hats. It shows the whole process, from choosing the right mushrooms, what can you do with it if it turns out not suitable, how to prepare tools, cutting and separating proper part of the mushroom, finally shaping it and adding embossed ornaments.
Enjoy :o)
