Uncertainty is a part of life, and nobody can deny it. So anything can happen anytime doesn't matter if we want it or not. Anytime we can face an emergency situation. Sometimes we need the help of others to come out of an emergency situation.
Fortunately, we are living in the digital world, and in this digital world, asking for help from someone is not so difficult because we can call them or message them in a single minute. I think we should be thankful to advanced technology because we have smartphones.
The calling feature and texting feature are both are most useful features to contact with anyone. Senior citizens mostly prefer the calling feature because they are not so friendly with texting, whereas the young generation is quite friendly with both kinds of features. But based on my observation, I noticed young people love to send texts in most of the cases. Moreover, I think texting someone seems more formal compared to calling.
But if anyone asks me what I like most, then I love to call directly when I need to contact with someone I know well. I think texting wastes a lot of time, as I am not good at typing. Besides, by connecting earphones while calling others allows me to do other tasks, and it's also a reason I love to make calls rather than texting.
Let's come to the topic. Which one will I prefer most when it comes to an emergency situation? It's hard to answer directly in a single word, as the emergency situation can be different, and based on it the situation can be different.
Suppose in an emergency situation I need immediate help, and in such kind of moment I think making a direct call is the best way to reach anyone. I think if we text someone, there is a possibility that the person may not notice the message immediately, or that person's mobile can be aside, and it's not a surprising situation. Suppose he connected his mobile while charging and missed reading the message immediately, which happens many times. But if I call him, then he will notice the ring and pick up the phone immediately, and he can respond for my help immediately. So I think when I need instant help, then calling is the best option, and I will do it in such a situation. But if he misses my call also, I need to leave a message for him to inform, as I have no more options left.
Again, if the emergency situation allows me to have a reasonable amount of time, then I think I may choose to text.
