The ringtone on my phone is a big source of fun for me. I like it in a song form, picking tracks from my music list to use as my ringtone. That way, anytime my phone rings, it tickles my ears to the extent that I feel moved to let it ring longer just to enjoy the music. Sometimes, I even nod my head or sing along before finally answering the call. Isn’t that fun? It might sound funny, but depending on my mood, I usually let my phone ring twice without answering and wait until the third or fourth call before picking up.
I don’t have a particular ringtone. I behave like a young boy who just got a phone for the first time, I change my ringtone very often, depending on the song I want to hear frequently at that particular moment or season. The song I’m currently using is "Joy Is Coming" by Fido. I set it during the last Christmas season when it was newly released. Apart from the song being a trend, it carries a lot of positivity and always lifts my mood whenever it plays. I’m using the first part of the song, the intro beat, and once it starts playing, I already know where it's going. I haven’t changed it since December 2024, but maybe in the coming month, I’ll switch to another one. For sure I'm going to get tired of it and there's something about the beginning of a new month to me, whenever I feel more hyper in the "Happy New Month" thing, I change my ringtone to have a fresh start of the month.
Maybe I should have mentioned how much I dislike default ringtones before talking about my music choices. Oh yes, I frown so much at default ringtones that whenever I get a new device, one of the first things I do is get music onto it, either by transferring from an older phone, getting it from someone, or downloading it from websites, just to use it as a ringtone. Unfortunately, I didn’t start using phones in the era when most devices didn’t allow music input. I began using phones when multimedia phones were already common.
My phone is one thing I make use of very often, so I love to make it very fun for me especially in things like this.
Thanks!
