Week 039 Digital Lifestyle: My Social Relation

I found this week prompt is interesting. Let me do first.

What does balanced communication mean to me? Basically, communication between people is very important. Even though I am an introvert, my social life is going well because I can manage my time as much as possible and choose when to socialize with friends, acquaintances, and new people. You could say, I charge my social battery back according to my mood and situation.

I usually maintain my social relationships through one chat application, namely WhatsApp. This application is the application that I will open for the first time when I wake up. There is a fundamental reason for that, namely the fact that this application is also used for work. All information about my work - how people in the office update about work, is updated on WhatsApp. So I can't disappear from WhatsApp. Although I wanted to delete it, for the sake of my mental health, I didn't. Rather than deleting one reason to be healthier, I chose to give myself an understanding that I just need to leave my phone alone, make the notifications silent, and be busy with other things.

Well, if that happens, I'm usually doing me time. My me time is indeed a bit unique. It depends on the conditions at that time. But what is certain is that I will do something unusual, such as being in a crowd, alone. Eating and drinking coffee in a new place, are the things that happen most often when I have me time. Sometimes I also watch a movie alone. After time has passed, I will reconnect with people on my WhatsApp application. By the way, I usually do that when I'm off duty and the right time is on weekdays.
