Hello dear readers of this beautiful community and to all hivers who love a good cup of coffee, I hope you are well, for my part I am happy to be here again bringing content, which is an immense pleasure for me. And so I welcome you to my blog.
A few months ago they gave me a small class on how to prepare cappuccino, which I was delighted with and I shared it with all of you, and everything didn't end there hehehe, I was so interested that I started a barista course ðŸ¤ðŸ¤.
In which I have been taught in my first classes how to extract coffee with different methods and that is why today I bring you a very wonderful one with the French press.
The French press is approximately more than 100 years old, it is a total immersion extraction method and is one of the most popular methods, the reason is because it is very easy to make and we can prepare any coffee and highlight its wonders.
Before starting, heat the French press and coffee cups with a little hot water.
For this method we are going to use 30g of coffee and 500g of water at 95°. The coffee should be ground to a medium size a little larger than sand.
To start, we place the coffee in the press and add the water. For this, no technique is necessary, we just have to make sure to wet all the coffee. Then we place the lid to preserve the heat without lowering the plunger, since a crust forms on the surface.
Next we turn on the timer and let it rest for 3 to 4 minutes. After 4 minutes we are going to break the crust by stirring with a spoon and there will be a small foam which we remove with the spoon since it can give us a bitter taste.
The interesting part has arrived. We replace the lid without lowering the plunger and let it infuse for 4 to 5 more minutes. The secret is that the longer you leave it, the better the flavor will be. This process is the one used in a coffee tasting. The more minutes the coffee cools and becomes sweeter.
Then after 5 minutes we lower the plunger only to the surface of the coffee, because if we lower it all the way to the bottom we are going to stir up all the beans that have been parked so far.
To finish, we serve it delicately and enjoy this delicious cup of coffee.
That's all for today, I hope you like this method as much as I do 😉, I'll be back with more soon, until next time.
