My husband asked me to go with him, he wanted to buy a TOTO number yesterday, Sunday. It was one warm afternoon, and my husband and I went for a short walk. We didn’t have any plans. The sun was bright, and the air felt nice. It was a beautiful Sunday. As we were walking back home near our favorite coffee shop, my husband saw a new place right next to it. He stopped and smiled. “Do you want to try this new coffee shop?” he asked. I looked at it and it's a simple but cozy shop. It looked clean and quiet. The chairs and tables looked nice, too. But I laughed a little and said, “It’s right next to our favorite place.” “I know,” he said. “But maybe we can try something new today.” We like it there. We sit, talk, or just watch people walk by. But trying something new didn’t sound bad. “Okay,” I said with a smile. “Let’s go.” We went inside. It smelled really good. I could smell a coffee aroma smell fresh coffee and milk, and the place felt calm. And there is no people in the shop yet.
We walked to the counter and looked at the menu. My husband pointed to a drink. “I’ll have the cold pistachio cream latte,” he said. Then he looked at me. “What about you?” I saw many drinks with long names. But I just wanted something simple. “I’ll get an ice-cold latte,” I said. We paid and sat near the counter. The table was small, just for two. We could see the street outside. Soon, our drinks came. His drink looked fun, green, and creamy with some whipped cream and nuts on top. Mine looked plain, just coffee, milk, and ice. But it looked perfect to me. My husband took a sip of his and smiled. “It’s good,” he said. “Do you want to try it?” I took his cup and had a small sip. It tasted sweet and creamy, with a little nut flavor. “It’s nice,” I said. He smiled. Then I gave him mine. “Try this one,” I said. He took a sip and said Nice, it's because he doesn't like to sweet. “Too strong,” he said, laughing. I laughed too. “That’s why I like it!” and he said You want my drink? And I agreed to swap drinks with him. And I like his drink too. hehe
We sat there and drank our coffee slowly. We talked about small things, dinner, movies, and the weekend. Nothing big. But it felt nice. After some time, I looked at him and said, “I’m happy we tried this place.” He looked at me and smiled. “Me too. Even if it’s just beside our favorite one.” I nodded and took another sip of the pistachio cold latte. It tasted fresh and sweet and creamy. I liked it. When we finished, we walked outside. We passed our favorite coffee shop. It was still there, warm and familiar. I knew we would go there again. But now, we also have this new place to enjoy. That day was simple, but special. I learned something: it’s okay to try new things, even small ones. What’s important is who you are with. Every little moment can be a happy memory when you are with someone you love. And discovering new places, new good coffee to enjoy, this walk with my husband is not just a walk, it's also what we discover about our community, we also discover something new for our taste buds. This walk I will always look forward to forever.
