Hello all coffee lovers, today afternoon, my husband and I decided to take a break from our normal, busy day. We wanted to relax and spend a little time together. We walked down from our condo lobby. And just right outside, we found a new open coffee shop. He asked me if I wanted to try, and I just said Sure, we just want to sit and talk, and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. At the front, there was a blackboard sign. It said, “We are OPEN. Everything gets better with coffee.” I smiled when I read it. I agreed. Coffee makes me relax and everything will better, especially when shared with a special someone. Sometimes, simple moments are the best. We walked into the coffee shop. It felt cozy and quiet. The lights were soft. There were small tables and chairs. Some people were sitting and working on their laptops. Others were talking quietly. The smell of coffee filled in the whole shop. It was warm and peaceful ambiance inside.
We chose a table near a big window. From our seats, we could see the street, buildings, and green hills outside. It was a calm view. We check they’re menu and ordered two cups of hot coffee. I feel like want to eat some desserts since we just had our lunch at home 1 hour a go. And my husband smailed and say we have same he also thinking to get a dessert, so he went to the counter and ordered two sweet desserts, one brownie with ice cream on top, and one slice of cookies and cream cheesecake. When the food and drinks arrived, everything looked very nice. The coffee serve with simple but elegant cup, and the foam had a little flower design. The brownie was warm and soft, with cold vanilla ice cream on top, with chocolate sauce made it more look tasty. The cheesecake looked creamy and had bits of cookies inside. We started eating slowly. We talked and laughed. We didn’t talk about serious things. Just small stories and happy thoughts. We were relaxed. We didn’t check our phones, but my husband never forgot to remind me to take picture. Then we just enjoyed our dessert, drinks, and each other’s company.
My husband stood up and walked to the counter for a while. He looked around and spoke to the barista. I watched him from the table and felt happy. I felt lucky to have this moment. Life is sometimes hard, but these little times help us feel better. On the table, there was a small candy. It was a coffee candy wrapped in black. I picked it up and smiled. I put it in my bag. It was a small gift from the cafe. I’m thinking to eat it later while doing my blog. After we finished our cakes and coffee, we just sat for a while. The cups were empty, and the plates were clean. We didn’t want to leave yet. We liked the quiet and the comfort of the place. Behind me, there was a small bookshelf with books. Maybe next time we come here, we can read books together.
We finally ready to go, we stood up and got ready to leave. Before going, I have one looked at everything one more time, the cups, the candy, the smile on my husband’s face. It was all simple, but full of love. As we walked out of the cafe, I felt so happy inside. I held my husband’s hand. The sky was cloudy, but my heart was warm. It was just coffee and dessert, but the feeling was special. That small coffee date became one of my favorite memories. It reminded me that love is not about big things. It is about small moments sharing with him that I really care about. Just a cup of coffee, a sweet dessert, and a quiet afternoon can make a very beautiful day.
