Hello everyone, very good morning. I hope you had a nice weekend. I am already enjoying my first cup of coffee of the week, and coffee lovers know that one of the best sensations every morning is the aroma that freshly brewed coffee gives off and invades our home completely. Even more so if it is accompanied by one of the most delicious spices... and that is why today I want to talk to you about the wonderful combination of coffee and cinnamon.

Right now the sunsets and sunrises are very rainy in the midst of days of intense heat, the weather changes like a seesaw and just as it can be a hot afternoon, it becomes one of a lot of rain and a surprising cold. I always take advantage of that moment to invent a snack with hot chocolate or a rich frothy latte, both always with a touch of cinnamon. Because you should know that cinnamon is my most used spice in desserts, and in my cups of coffee or chocolate. Sprinkle that touch at the end to my drink or my dessert, it can be the perfect combination. Accompanying my delicious tres leches cake or a rich cinnamon roll with my coffee is wonderful.

When I go out to do my shopping, it is customary to stop somewhere where they sell coffee and yesterday morning I had breakfast at the Don Basilio bakery, which is a cafe, bakery and restaurant. They serve some delicious cream cheese baked pastries, and my frothy coffee with a little cinnamon turned out perfect to go with that pastry. It was a little strong for me since I like guayoyo, but it was tasty just the same.

Cinnamon is always going to be the best choice to make a combination with coffee and desserts, and some places in town offer this variety of flavors. They recently opened a new café on the intercommunal avenue between the two cities and I have yet to visit it. I saw the menu and everything is provocative. There is a lot of cinnamon in the content. Cinnamon is a must in my house, and of course, neither is coffee. I have already bought combinations of coffee and cinnamon together in the same package, but I will always try to create my own mix, and even use these two ingredients together in a dessert, as in the case of my coffee and cinnamon quesillo that I mentioned before.
