For many, drinking coffee is part of everyday life and there are many reasons that drive that cup of coffee. So, why do we drink coffee and what are the reasons behind this choice? What is the best time to drink it?

I believe that the reasons why we have the pleasure of drinking the black liquid depend on individual preferences, but the main one is the cultural and social aspect. As children, we were accustomed to eat bread with coffee, either in the morning or as a snack; obviously not for everyone, but, in general, in Venezuela we do.

For coffee lovers it is customary to have a cup of coffee in the morning to start the day with energy and be wide awake at the beginning of the daily routine. As far as I am concerned, I prefer to drink it in the morning, after getting cleaned up. I usually drink my coffee with my phone in hand to talk to my children and answer some messages on the Hive platform, as well as being in the company of my husband. The beginning of the day is the best time to immerse myself in my thoughts with a big cup full of that prodigious elixir.

I like to drink coffee in the tranquility and comfort of my home, but sometimes I don't have coffee and I have to go out and buy some. In this sense, it is a bit complicated, because if I do not find the brand of my preference, I am overcome with indecision: should I buy or look elsewhere? Most supermarkets have a coffee shop, so when I'm faced with this dilemma, I first have a coffee to get my brain cells going.

One morning I had no coffee and went out with my grandson to the supermarket, plus I needed some groceries. It was the first time I visited that store with its new structure and I forgot to take a picture of the outside. The inside of the supermarket is nice and comfortable. We made a tour looking for coffee, but I discovered two new ones, called San Cipriano and Napoli, which I liked the presentation of the packaging.

While I was deciding what to order, I took my grandson to breakfast in the store's cafeteria. I ordered a coffee for myself and I had to share it with him, because it was the first time he wanted to drink coffee. I had a pleasant surprise: the son of a stepdaughter of my late father works there. I knew him as a child, so he was the one who recognized me. When I finished, I decided to buy San Cipriano coffee, which I thought was very good.

Afterwards, we headed to the nearest stop and I stopped at another store to buy cheese. I think it was the day to meet beautiful and young people, ha ha ha ha. My youngest son's ex-girlfriend works there; I am very fond of this girl. I had a little coffee to go and went home with my grandson.

In short, coffee provides us with beautiful experiences and beautiful coincidences. The aroma of an artisan coffee is what orients me, but it is not a final indication. To choose a commercial coffee, I let myself go by instinct if the aroma is not perceived.

Para muchos, tomar café forma parte de la vida cotidiana y hay muchos motivos que mueven esa taza de café. Entonces, ¿por qué tomamos café y qué razones hay detrás de esta elección? ¿Cuál es la mejor hora para tomarlo?
Considero que las razones por las que tenemos el placer de tomar el negro líquido dependen de las preferencias individuales, pero la principal es el aspecto cultural y social. De niños, nos acostumbraron a comer pan con café, bien por la mañana o para la merienda; obviamente no a todos, pero, en general, en Venezuela sí.
Para los amantes del café es habitual tomar una taza de café por la mañana para comenzar el día con energía y estar bien despiertos al inicio de la rutina diaria. En lo que a mí respecta, prefiero tomarlo por la mañana, después de asearme. Generalmente, tomo el café con el teléfono en mano para hablar con mis hijos y contestar algunos mensajes de la plataforma Hive, además de estar en la compañía de mi esposo. El comienzo del día es el mejor momento para sumergirme en mis pensamientos con una gran taza llena de ese elixir prodigioso.
Me gusta tomar el café en la tranquilidad y comodidad de mi hogar, pero a veces no tengo café y tengo que salir a comprar. En este sentido, es un poco complicado, porque si no encuentro la marca de mi preferencia, me invade la indecisión: ¿comprar o buscar en otro sitio? La mayoría de los supermercados tienen cafetería, así que, cuando me encuentro con este dilema, primero me tomo un café para activar mis neuronas.
Una mañana no tenía café y salí acompañada de mi nieto al supermercado, además de que necesitaba algunas provisiones. Era la primera vez que visitaba ese local con su nueva estructura y se me olvidó tomarle una foto por fuera. El interior del supermercado es bonito y confortable. Hicimos un recorrido buscando el café, pero descubrí dos nuevos, denominados San Cipriano y Napoli, que me gustó la presentación del empaque.
Mientras decidía qué pedir, llevé a mi nieto a desayunar a la cafetería del comercio. Pedí un café para mí y tuve que compartirlo con él, porque era la primera vez que quería tomar café. Tuve una grata sorpresa: ahí trabaja el hijo de una hijastra de mi difunto padre. Lo conocí de niño, así que fue él quien me reconoció. Al terminar, decidí comprar el café San Cipriano, que me pareció muy bueno.
Después, nos dirigimos a la parada más cercana y pasé a otro negocio a comprar queso. Creo que era el día de encontrar gente guapa y joven, ja, ja, ja. Allí trabaja la exnovia de mi hijo menor; le tengo mucho cariño a esta chica. Tomé un cafecito para llevar y salí con mi nieto a casa.
En definitiva, el café nos brinda lindas experiencias y bonitas coincidencias. El aroma de un café artesanal es lo que me orienta, pero no es un indicativo final. Para elegir un café comercial, me dejo llevar por el instinto si no se percibe el aroma.
