3am Thoughts
It's three o'clock in the morning and here I am typing away with my fat thumbs on my phone's screen. So please forgive me straight away for any typos and whatever my phone's auto-correct would not handle. 😅
Anyway, I've had very little sleep so far and my brain is on hyperactive mode, that even if my eyes would like to shut, my brain has other things in mind. The culprit, I think, is yes, coffee.
I've had one too many yesterday.
Coffee does not usually keep me from sleeping. Even if I have my afternoon coffee very late, I would still find myself very sleepy at around 10pm.
Christmas Catch-ups
It's the Season, and my dear buddies and I decided to have a little meet-up yesterday for Christmas lunch. Of course, when I am with this bunch, this could drag on until late night...
From lunch, we set off the the promanade of the Galleria Mall in Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi and have coffee.
We found a nice spot at L'eto Cafe and just talked the afternoon away over black Americano and a slice of Mango Napoleon cake. The coffee was served in a nice stainless steel pot that kept it nice and hot. This was my second cup of the day since I cannot forego a nice kick in the morning upon waking up.
So my friend and I just chatted away while our other friend headed off to work. We thought that he would not be able to come back and meet with us again because he said he needed to drive back to Dubai after work to attend the Mass.
Anyway, he probably got "guilty" that he left us (my other friend came all the way from Dubai, too) so he called at 5pm to say he could still join us for coffee before he sets off.
The Third
This iced Spanish latte right here might just be the reason I'm writing this blog. 😅
I've always said 2 cups a day is my maximum. I know you'd understand that when I say "cups" it's not actually the volume, but the number of times I would have coffee in a day.
Since I had black coffee the first 2 times, I opted for a latte in hopes of "toning the caffeine down". I guess that was a wrong decision because see, I'm still up now in the wee hours of the morning, plus the milk in the latte could have caused my upset stomach) or maybe I just really had too much to eat yesterday).
Regardless, I am now deciding with my "no-sleep" brain, that I am never having latte ever again.
Of course, there is a chance that I would eat my words back. 😜
It's now 4am. It's going to be another long day later so I will now try to get some sleep. Let's see... Catch you guys later! 😴😴😴
