I went to the mall this week to attend a Cacao Fair. It was an event held to promote the sales of cacao that comes from Paria, the other side of the peninsula in our state.
The event started without any kind of publicity. I found it because I was having a date and looked at the center place of the mall to find people were there with their chairs and tables and a whole lot of chocolate.
I did not buy anything that first day since I was going to get some tools for my workshop. And the next day, I wanted to go and get some chocolates and other goodies. Some people were selling chocolate bars, jewelery, peanut butter, alcoholic drinks. Everything was cacao themed.
I wanted to get some of the jigsaw-shaped chocolates and also some that had fruit fillings. To my surprise, the people who sold those things were already gone. They had to leave in a hurry. It was a pity. I had to settle for some other chocolates. The best part is that I got to taste so many free samples of that particular kind. They had chocolate with nuts, coffee, spice, ginger and many variations of percentage of cacao. And the lady in charge of the sales did a wonderful job giving me the details of all the chocolates.
At the end of the day, I went down to @lapanetteria to get a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. I did it by myself and spent some time savoring the moment and thinking about many of the things I gotta do in the nearby future. It was a nice time to sit and decompress.
There's the poetry workshop coming along. A new iteration to teach people the art of moderation in writing, but also organization of ideas to make writing easier. There are so many other instruments to make. There are things to learn and more.
The best part is that there will always be coffee to get me going through all these projects, classes and else.
Today is an exam day for my Writing students. I hope they come prepared for the last exam about paragraphs since we are transitioning into the essay. Things are going well on that field.
Having a coffee by yourself is a nice opportunity to slow down and get to think about so many other things you might need to get done.
