Hello Cinnamon Cup Coffee community! I welcome you to this rather special post that I wanted to share with you. In addition to reviewing a coffee brand with a long history in Venezuela, I am going to take the opportunity to share and celebrate with a cup of this exceptional coffee my fourth anniversary in this wonderful Hive network. Let's get started!
My 4 years at Hive
Well, it turns out that just at 0 hours UTC I found out through the notifications that I have completed 4 years in Hive! In Venezuela we have an expression for this: "to remember is to live" and it seems like it was yesterday when I took my first steps in this great project at the end of 2020 in the midst of a severe political, economic, social crisis and at the height of the global pandemic.
However, I must be honest with you, I learned about the Hive network through Splinterlands since in those years we were at the doors of the NFT bull market and boy did I take this project very seriously since I dedicated 2 and a half years to playing this game almost professionally, that is to say that I stayed on the shores of that great ocean that is Hive.
It was in the last year and a half that I completely immersed myself in those cryptographic waters thanks to my dear friends @rosmiapure and @morenow who had the time and patience to show me the different layers and communities that this great blockchain has. Thanks to them I got to know this great community so to celebrate this 4th anniversary, what better than to enjoy this moment with an excellent cup of coffee!
San Antonio: True venezuelan espresso
10 years before falling into this spiral of crisis in which we still find ourselves, the Venezuelan coffee market was, so to speak, monopolized by 4 major coffee brands that were the ones mainly consumed in the country. Today we are going to taste one of the brands that became a reference for almost all the commercial coffee shops in Caracas, I am referring to Café San Antonio.
Café San Antonio is essentially a family business that arrived in El Valle, Caracas with immigration in 1948. Being Italian immigrants, they brought us from their country of origin one of the best schools in what has to do with the arts of roasting and grinding espresso-type coffee, that is, the classic Italian espresso that soon spread to all the coffee shops in Caracas.

The extreme care they continue to take when selecting coffee beans in different parts of the country, their refined and rigorous supervision technique in each of the stages of the production of this coffee positioned it alongside the other 2 major coffee brands in Venezuela in those years: El Peñón//Madrid and Fama de América.
Trying San Antonio "Excelso" coffee
As I mentioned before, this brand specialized in an espresso coffee exclusive to coffee shops, however they launched the San Antonio Excelso coffee for the domestic market, which is like having the aroma of the coffee shop in your home. So we proceeded to open it and smell its aroma.
I was surprised by how sweet and aromatic this coffee is since I had only tried it in coffee shops, but really the aroma is the same. Then we proceeded to put it in the coffee maker at a ratio of 2 small cups of ground coffee per cup of coffee and let it brew.

Then we proceeded to serve it in my favorite cup, I love that cup for its large size and especially if I am tasting a good coffee like this one. In conclusion, this coffee after more than 76 years still maintains the unique quality that characterizes them and it is not a lie when they tell us that it is like having the coffee shop in your house, it is literally the espresso that you buy every morning before going to the University to teach classes.
Well friends, with my cup of coffee and a sugary bread I celebrate these 4 years of hive, concluding this year's goals in the blockchain, cultivating my wallet with more second layer tokens and optimistic about the future. See you in a next post, dear friends, regards!

Les doy la bienvenida a este post un tanto especial que he querido compartir con ustedes y es que además de reseñar una marca de café con una amplia trayectoria en Venezuela, voy aprovechar la ocasión para compartir y celebrar con una taza de este excepcional café mi cuarto aniversario en esta maravillosa red de Hive. Comencemos!
Mis 4 años en Hive
Pues, resulta que justo a las 0 horas UTC me enteré por las notificaciones que he cumplido 4 años en Hive! En Venezuela tenemos una expresión para esto: "recordar es vivir" y es que parece que fue ayer cuando di mis primeros pasos en este gran proyecto a finales del 2020 en medio de una severa crisis política, económica, social y en el pico más álgido de la pandemia mundial.
Sin embargo, debo ser honestos con ustedes, yo conocí la red de Hive a través de Splinterlands ya que en aquellos años estábamos a las puertas del mercado alcista de los NFT´s y vaya que me tomé este proyecto muy en serio pues le dedique 2 años y medio completos a jugar dedicadamente casi profesionalmente este juego, es decir que me mantenía a las orillas de ese gran océano que es Hive.
Fue en el último año y medio que me sumergí completamente en esas aguas criptográficas gracias a mis apreciadas amistades @rosmiapure y @morenow que tuvieron el tiempo y la paciencia para enseñarme las distintas capas y comunidades que tiene esta gran blockchain. Gracias a ellos conocí esta genial comunidad así que para celebrar este 4to aniversario que mejor que disfrutar de este momento con una excelente taza de café!
San Antonio: Verdadero café express venezolano
10 años antes de caer en esta espiral de crisis en la que todavía nos encontramos, el mercado de café venezolano estaba por decirlo de alguna manera monopolizado por 4 grandes marcas de café que eran las que principalmente se consumían en el país. Hoy vamos a degustar una de las marcas que se convirtió en un referente para casi todas las cafeterías comerciales de Caracas, me refiero al Café San Antonio.
El Café San Antonio es en esencia una empresa de carácter familiar que llego a El Valle, Caracas con la inmigración en 1948. Siendo inmigrantes italianos nos trajeron desde su país de origen una de las mejores escuelas en lo que tiene que ver con las artes de la torrefacción y molienda del café tipo express, es decir el clásico l´espresso italiano que pronto se extendió a todas las cafeterías de Caracas.

El extremo cuidado que siguen teniendo a la hora de escoger los granos de café en distintas partes del país, su depurada y rigurosa técnica de supervisión en cada una de las etapas de la producción de este café lo posicionaron junto a las otras 2 grandes marcas de café en Venezuela en aquellos años: El Peñón/Madrid y Fama de América.
Siendo su especialidad la elaboración de un café tipo expresso para cafetería desde sus inicios pronto tuvo un alcance nacional y hoy más de 75 años después este producto se ha convertido en marca de exportación con un nicho importante en el mercado norteamericano.
Probando el café San Antonio "Excelso"
Como mencioné anteriormente esta marca se especializó en un café espresso exclusivo de cafeterías, sin embargo sacaron para el mercado doméstico el café San Antonio Excelso que es como tener el aroma de la cafetería en tu casa. Así que procedimos abrirlo y sentir su aroma.
Me sorprendió lo dulce y aromático que es este café ya que solo lo había probado en cafeterías pero realmente el aroma es el mismo. Luego procedimos a ponerlo en la cafetera a una relación de 2 pequeñas copas de café molido por taza de café y lo dejamos colando.

Luego procedimos a a servirlo en mi taza favorita, me encanta esa taza por su gran tamaño y sobre todo si estoy probando un buen café como este 😅. En conclusión, este café luego de más de 76 años sigue manteniendo la calidad única que los caracteriza y no es mentira cuando nos dicen que es como tener la cafetería en tu casa es literalmente el café expresso que compró todas las mañanas antes de ir a la Universidad a dar clases.
Bien amigos con mi taza de café y un pan azucarado celebro estos 4 años de hive, concluyendo las metas de este año en la blockchain, cultivando mi billetera con más tokens de segunda capa y optimista del futuro. Nos vemos en un próximo post estimados, saludos!
