A year ago I returned to my country Venezuela after such a long time in Cuba. I felt different when I stepped on my land again. I felt older, my thinking is different, at that moment I discovered that I am an adult, that I am a mother and that I was returning to my country as a totally different person from the one who left 6 years ago.

I was greeted by the cold wind of Caracas. The walks, the reunions, the longing for my homeland and my people began to fade. Coffee was present in every meeting. Each sip brought back so many memories of my childhood. I felt happy and alive. I was returning to a second chance to live and enjoy what I love.

How many things can happen in a year? The economy leaves us in the red and in the green. Everything goes up and down. The amount of cups of coffee we can drink in a year is impressive. How much money do we spend in a house to buy coffee? All this makes me think that coffee is really important in our lives.

The pictures I share with you in this walk down memory lane, you have already seen most of them, is that I have shared in my #hive blog so many posts and a big part of those posts were dedicated to coffee, glorious dark liquid, as I like to call it.

This month of March for me is important because it is full of celebrations and one of them is the celebration of #hive's anniversary. Which we commemorate today and I am proud to be part of this great family.

Every morning when I wake up and the coffee brews, the smell of the roasted beans, ground and boiled, floods the whole environment with a unique and special aroma. Nothing compares to the moment when I sit down to enjoy a cup of coffee.

A cup of coffee to celebrate the day that begins, the life of family and friends who are celebrating their birthdays, to celebrate the events of everyday life. But most of all to celebrate that we have a moment to sit down and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. There is no comparison.

I look forward to March, which is a month of beginnings and endings. It ends the first quarter of the year but begins the second quarter with optimism. May it be the beginning of unforgettable coffee moments.
