I kind of look at coffee as a therapist. Whenever I am stressed out or sad, I grab a cup of coffee. If I am too happy and wants to celebrate over something, coffee never gets out of the picture. And I know most of you here somehow agrees with the magic of coffee.
Recently, we discovered that a local coffee shop in town is relocationg just a few minutes away from our home. It was really exciting on my part since it only means that I will get to have a brewed coffee any time I want as the coffee shop is open 24 hours.
One of my closest friends came over to pick me up because of our planned late afternoon coffee date. She also told me that she wants to share something about her life happenings recently, so I already sensed that a good conversation must be partnered with a cup of coffee.
We went to the newly relocated and renovated coffee shop just 10 minutes away from our house, and it was the Kopi Kubo. It has been a famous coffee shop in town because of its unique and authentic brewed coffee. And we loved its new location. It was surrounded by rice fields and the green scene was too relaxing to the eyes.
But we went here to have a sit down on my friend's stories, so we headed towards the counter to order something. My friend took over on choosing what we will be having, and I only told her that I want to try their best-selling brewed coffee.
As she was busy ordering and talking to the staffs, I took the chance to look around and check the improvements of the coffee shop. They are now located just along the national road which made it even more accessible to people who wants to drop by for a cup of coffee or a slice of cake. They now offer a lot of snacks, from breads, cakes, and more. From the corners of the coffee shop, I appreciated the retro and classic vibe around together with some good music on the background.
After getting our orders, we decided to choose the table on the second floor of the coffee shop. But what made it amazing is that the spot we chose was made of woods and they installed some light effects for a more cozy vibe. Lucky for us, my friend and I were the only people in here.
As soon as we sat down, my friend already started sharing stories and I just listened to her. One of the crews interrupted us for a bit since he already served the coffee and foods that we ordered. The conversation began to be more serious and we both talked about the life lessons we learned the hard way.
One of the things I realized as we continue talking while sipping on our cup is that coffee is indeed a therapist. We enjoyed talking about random things. Also, aside from the coffee we also got ourselves their Homemade Siomai and we loved the spices and how tasty every bite was. Surely, Kopi Kubo satisfied us again.
