The Best of the Beanies, in no particular order - they were all so good!
Prisoner in the Wall by @germanandradeg
I must also warn you, there is a possibility that you may be in danger as you read this letter, the villains may be watching every event or movement around the house and the assets in it; they will do everything in their power to track me down and get their hands on the treasure.
Da Vincis Lost Mona Lisa by @lordtimoty
Da Vinci's lost Mona Lisa; a coffee tale of cobwebs and rust, love and a bitter ex-wife. Oliver Collins described himself as a purveyor of fine artefacts and art. Every week he’d scour yard sales and flea markets and return to his home with an exquisite pile of junk. His home, over many, many years, had been being turned into a hoarder’s paradise – and Oliver, in all his rudiments of scavenging, sat firmly on its throne.
That Magic Moment by @itsostylish
There’s no way that we can stay here in Poland; we will be discovered and either shot or sent away on one of the many trains that we hear leaving the station daily. God only knows where these trains are taking people, but none of us want to find out, so we’re planning to go over the mountains into Turkey. We’re going to escape, dearest Anna.
You Know its Me by @irvinc
We spent five wonderful days, enough to fall in love and make plans to be together. I had decided to quit my job with "T". You would return to America to resolve some personal matters and in ten more days you would look for me again in Marseilles to leave for England. I did not count that Mister "T" was aware of our meetings and that this had been a kind of affront to him.
The Portland Butcher by @universoperdido
Dear Chester, my blood brother. Things in Portland aren't going the way he hoped. Again that impulse won me; that particularity that only you and I know. She could no longer bear the boring life of a housewife, with a severe husband and a hostile mother-in-law. Divorce is a very late option and I can't do it if my husband doesn't want it, so I did what I had to do. I killed Oliver and his mother's witch. I'm sorry, I promised I wouldn't do it again, but he felt so good. I chopped up their bodies into small pieces and placed them in containers to…
The Lily's Dew Drop Necklace by @ladytitan
Joyce broke out in a sweat from the scorching sun glaring down but she did not mind as long as she found the portal key. She'd already been to three yard sales around town and found nothing. Another yard sale was about to start close to the town's Chapel.
The West is Awake by @esther-emmanuel
"My family has been keeping this painting for centuries for its rightful owner to come for it someday and today I am honored to give it to the owner." Adeline said. Confused, Tori steps back abruptly, jerking her hand from the portrait, and said, "I can't take this. It is too sentimental to your family." "Please take it, it is meant for you" she insists.
The Lady in the Portrait by @drivingindevon
I sat baffled as I eyed the painting with a newfound pity for the woman inside it. It's safe to say that this Monsieur Brussels-sprouts or something never got the painting or even bothered to open it when he received it. Otherwise, the letter wouldn't have stuck to the back of the damn thing in the first place. By the sound of her letter, this dude sounded like a complete dunce, who undoubtedly ghosted her after fleeing to France. What a douchebag!
The Note of the Mysterious by @chacald.dcymt
You have no idea how many times I have thought about ending my life and thus getting out of all the problems, putting an end to this unbearable pain, seeing the light in the midst of this overwhelming gloom. It is like a voice whispering in my ear constantly to put an end to all this.
A Surprising Gift Hidden In... by @yelimarin
But I want to be free, I can't stand it anymore, I am a dreamer and a woman full of life, who some time ago was happy and wanted to shine, until my light was extinguished by my husband, this will be the last beating I receive from his hand, even so I will not reveal the whereabouts of my inheritance, which I have hidden. My dark circles under my eyes and my thinness reflect the days of suffering that I live daily.
Notes if a Wandering Love by @neruel
She told me on November 5, 2021 that we should break up, I was a fool and deluded in love. Who is the unhappy one? Well, it seems to be me. Yes, I Moses the one who does not know what it is to renounce the multiplicity of love's sins. I clung to the fact that our relationship was not over, it is unfair that the romance of the two of us ended, but the truth: there is nothing more to find. She left this country, wounded with a big stab my heart and also pierced this docile feeling, one that is still pure
Eyes the Color of Sunshine by @kei2
Elan began to choke on her drink. Then she began to notice something very strange. As she drank her coffee, the color of the coffee in the portrait diminished. When she took in the very last sip, the color vanished completely. Elan held her breath and a knot formed in her throat. She began to feel light in her body and soul. It was like she had lost control of herself. The painting emanated a dark light before her. Her eyes widened. Involuntarily, she felt her body moving towards the light until it consumed her whole.
