Does coffee go better with liqueur or ice cream?
Well, here are some of the best thought-provoking responses.
@gabrieladifazio says I do not believe that coffee goes better with liquor or ice cream

I have tasted coffee with liqueur and I did not like it at all, I think it has to do with the fact that I do not like that contrast, it makes me feel that I am not appreciating the coffee and that I am not appreciating the liqueur. However, I have tasted desserts containing coffee and liqueur that I have loved, so I guess it is a matter of where it is combined. In general, I would say: Black coffee is the best.
@coquicoin says Ice cream with coffee is unbeatable.

Of course, that doesn't mean that I don't like coffee with liquor. I like Irish coffee, and after a copious dinner, a Carajillo is an excellent Pousse-cafe. But ice cream with coffee is unbeatable. One of my favourites is the affogato, vanilla ice cream with espresso coffee like the one in the pic. And now that I think about it, talking about affogato, maybe I could come up with a version with liqueur, hehe. There is a Venezuelan rum called Arakú, it is a sweet liqueur that mixes rum and coffee, and it just occurred to me that maybe I should try it with vanilla ice cream. I have some Arakú to try.
@cthings says I'd go for coffee with liqueur
Coffee with ice cream? Hmm, fascinating! I'm biased here since I only tried coffee with liquor. My all-time favourite is Long Island Iced Coffee! It consists of Premium Gin, vodka, rum, espresso shot, fresh lemon juice & sugar syrup. It tastes and smells like coffee! I even convinced my friend, who doesn't like coffee to try it out, she loved it!
@grindan says Liquor in coffee? Not my cup of joe.
Sometimes I like to mix dessert with coffee. I will buy one of those Caramel-frappe-whatever from the mermaid lady chain, and I will suck it down like a grinning child. When I decide to have this kind of treat, I always remember when I was younger and thought it was the only way to drink coffee. 💚
@chaodietas says I've even had coffee with liqueur and ice cream at the same time
If you have not tried some combinations of liqueur and coffee or ice cream and coffee, I can tell you that these ingredients have chemical molecules that exhale the aroma and flavour of the coffee. It is not for nothing that there are combinations with dairy products (let's not forget that ice cream is a dairy product). Within dairy products, there is a molecule called butyric acid that gives the typical aroma to butter. This molecule, when combined with the essential acids of coffee, causes pleasure in the palate.
@universoperdido says I've tried both and the truth was that I liked the coffee with ice cream.
Coffee with ice cream is a delight, it is a combination of sweet and bitter flavours that melt in your mouth. My favourite is the combination of vanilla ice cream drowned by a strong espresso. It is very tasty, and as proof, I leave my tasting face 😁
@liseth.zamora says Coffee with liquor will always be for a special occasion

Coffee has an incredible capacity to be versatile. It is suitable to relax us and at the same time, it allows us to fill ourselves with energy. While iced coffee is a divine and sweet invitation to share amicably with a family member or friend on a hot afternoon; coffee with liquor mostly promises a more fiery and passionate encounter because the blood will flow faster. Even if the encounter is with ourselves; if you need your ideas to emanate when writing, this combination is the most suitable for you.
@cool08 says Coffee with liqueur

The only thing I added to my coffee was liquor. I felt well and argyle taking it. It was so unique and special taking coffee with liquor but I have not heard from anyone taking coffee with ice cream. I guess most people might do, but I don't think it is the best way of taking coffee.
@chacald.dcymt says I prefer to combine it with ice cream

Sweet with ice cream, and strong with whiskey, coffee always has that magic touch that gives us the energy and sense of well-being we need. My passion is coffee. I prefer to combine it with ice cream, if it's chocolate, even better. I love it, I can't resist. Once I prepared at home this delicious dessert that we call frappuccino, which is iced coffee with chocolate ice cream and cream. I love this combination and whenever I can I ask for it in a coffee shop.
