A coffee always lifts your spirits. Today was one of those days to boost self-esteem, and what better place than Fortuna Café. Amidst pages and friends, we try to organize the hectic life we currently lead.
Today was one of those days when you feel lost in your thoughts, and I must say that every time I visit that place, it's like a sanctuary. Plans, new ideas, and projects emerge there. You walk in, and it's as if all your problems disappear. And the hours pass without you even noticing.
One of the new projects that emerged that day was the creation of designs, banners, and logos for businesses and anyone who needed them. Yes, I spent two hours trying to make a presentation design for a tablet, but the goal was achieved.
I always carry a planner. I write down everything that comes to mind, mainly business and project ideas. And of course, coffee is always by my side.
If you're a coffee lover, you know what I mean? Come and tell me how it was!
The coffee, as I can tell you, is exquisite. I always come back again and again. Today I had that coffee with my sister, my travel companion, a business partner with crazy ideas and adventures, we try to fix the world, so to speak.
And the waitress was always special. There was no cold salad, but the coffee with milk and the air conditioning were the best way to relax.
Until we got cold and shivered. 🤣
Cuban coffee is not made for the cold, haha.
Café Fortuna reminds me in part of the old MAMA INES café, located in Plaza de Marte. Just like this one, you'd walk into it and it was a whole other world for artists, filled with books on the walls, and you'd bump into faces from the city's cultural scene.
That was another of my favorite cafés because it was different from the ones we see today that look like restaurants or bars. It had more of a cultural atmosphere tailored to our needs.
I miss both the coffee and cheese typical of that place and the fact that it was open 24 hours a day.
Every Santiago resident who liked art and coffee had to stop by that café. Perhaps because of that similarity, Café Fortuna has earned its special place.
Do you remember the MAMA INES cafe?
