One of the high spots of spending a weeks diving in Dahab with @scubahead and @millycf1976 was the time we spent chillin’ in the waterfront cafes in Dahab town and there are plenty to chose from.
Getting a taxi in from the Happy Life Village where we all stayed took about 15 minutes and was quite cheap with a bit of haggling at around 150 Egyptian pounds which just under £3.
Once you are dropped off it’s a great place for a stroll the pedestrian street, as long as you dodge the bicycles, has mostly cafes, restaurants along the sea side and gift and dive shops and the kitchen that service the restaurants on the other.
Stopping for a coffee and a cake is a great way to spend an hour or so and no one seems to mind if you drag it out a bit. The views are much better than any Costa I have been in.
We also found a place that was very generous with it’s slices of cheesecake,
So we had a few visits to check the quality was always up to a good standard and we were not disappointed.
I does help if you are a bit of a cat person because as soon as you sit down you will find your the centre of attention for the restaurant cat population.
One thing I did notice while the cats in Happy Life Village were mostly fairly young. The cats around Dahab town were older and a bit more streetwise.
