Our morning began with a ride out in the Peak District, Derbyshire (UK) for a visit to the Yondermann Café which is located in the village of Wardlow Mires. This café is also known affectionately as 'The Mires' due to its location. The car park was quite large so no issues of parking and the presence of a few motorbikers is often a good indicator of a good café.
Inside, it just looked like a regular cafe but it was clean and comfortable. It wasn't long before we were greeted with menus at our chosen table. The café has been under the ownership of the same couple since 2008, and they like to support local businesses by using local and homemade products.
Even though, dogs aren't allowed inside the café, you can sit outside as they have provided an undercover seating area for you and your dog, and even doggy blankets for cooler weather.
Our coffee choice was a black americano and a latte. Sometimes it can be a bit hit and miss with coffee but no complaints from us this time.
Coffee was followed by a vegetarian breakfast and scrambled eggs on toast. As the food is cooked from scratch there was a little bit of a wait. When it arrived, the portion of my vegetarian breakfast was a bit challenging. Even though I have a good appetite, I only just managed to eat it all!
Distance wise, it's a little bit out of the way for me but I'd definitely call in again if I'm in the area.
