Hello dear friends of the wonderful cinnamon community today, again I bring you a review of a type of coffee that I tried to prepare at home.
As every Saturday I went out with my parents to do the shopping at the supermarket for the rest of the week and of course in my grocery list is always to find a new brand or variety of coffee to try in the day to day of my home.
Homemade coffee is something that may not attract much attention from an advertising point of view, it certainly cannot be compared to a review of a modern coffee shop or a luxurious specialized restaurant. But the traditional always has that touch of everyday life, which reminds you of the warmth of home and also has the possibility of creating unforgettable memories. I imagine that from there many restaurants try to match that condition when they put up the family atmosphere signs.
As you know within my small world of acquaintances, I am already recognized for being the kid who writes about coffee on the internet. This gives me a lot of pride because the people at the grocery store, treat me as if I were someone famous, an influencer, an artist, or something like that, I even know that they have shown my work on Hive to coffee suppliers to give me samples of their new products which is great.
My friend, the supermarket manager barely, saw me this morning, he called me with a kind gesture to show me a new type of coffee he bought for his business, despite my young age this young entrepreneur values my knowledge about coffee and my opinion a lot, so he invited me to try it.
That fills me with a lot of commitment and forces me to continue learning to improve my reviews, which I love.
The coffee that I brought today to prepare at home is a new brand called Buen Café, it is manufactured by a small company that barely produces one or two tons per month, something that caught my attention is that it is not the typical traditional coffee from the cold areas of the country, this variety does not come from the Andean states as we say here to the areas that belong to the Andes mountain range, this coffee comes from Anzoátegui state, an area between plains and maritime coasts where I did not even know that coffee was produced.
Apparently there is a certain area located in a mountain of Anzoátegui which is dedicated exclusively to the cultivation of several types of coffee, this variety of beans allows them to make a unique blend which is close to obtaining a certification of origin, which is a requirement to be able to export it.
The description of the packaging and the history of this coffee roastery, which apparently has been in existence for more than 20 years, but only recently has produced enough tea to allow them to venture into the national market, making it reach my region in the capital of the country, sounds pretty good.
Today is a rainy afternoon, and it is getting quite cold, so I take this opportunity to share with you an image of the nature that surrounded me at the moment of preparing this coffee with cookies.
The coffee comes already ground, ready to prepare, it does not have a strong smell nor a color like the traditional one, in fact at first sight it looks quite pale, I imagine that it is due to the mixture of several types of beans referred to in the description.
To prepare it I used the traditional technique of brewing it in a cloth bag, making sure that the water was at 90 degrees centigrade approximately without boiling according to the recommendations that some expert baristas have given me.
When pouring the water over the coffee its aroma began to come out, I must admit that it is very different from the common one I have tasted. Here you can feel a soft smell, but very tasty, with a floral touch one could say, or at least sweet, which undoubtedly gives it a special distinction.
The color of the infusion is also different, it is much lighter than the coffees I have tasted before, although I used the right proportion of powder for the amount of water; however, this coffee is a light brown, almost like caramel with yellow touches, but that despite not showing a thick body to the eye gives a different appeal for its brightness.
The flavor is also unique, really the blends of beans of different varieties contributes a lot to the flavor that feels very smooth giving sweet touches at the entrance and small bitter very striking at the end where you do not feel any kind of acidity, which makes it an attractive drink.
I particularly prefer coffees with a stronger flavor, but this brand is quite good for people who like to try something different and have a taste for mild varieties and blends, so I recommend it especially for ladies.
Finally, I tell you that I accompanied this delicious snack with a rich chocolate and chocolate chip cookie called Toma 2 of the Marinela brand, which was the perfect match for this homemade coffee tasting on this rainy afternoon that I enjoyed admiring the greatness of nature with my family.
I say goodbye, see you in my next post.
