This morning I went for a walk with my mom to the market to make some purchases that we had pending, this is an ideal place to try new things because there are always promoters offering new products, that's why I was very happy to accompany her. However, today I didn't see anything special that caught my eye, so I thought I'd better look at the coffee counter to see what varieties they had available with the idea of trying something new and different.
The truth is that I did not find such a wide variety as I expected, the counters were packed with only 3 brands that are the traditional ones that people commonly buy, but being factory products they are not totally pure, most have some mixtures in the grain to lower its price and others are really bad, giving a bitter taste that I don't particularly like.
Somewhat unmotivated, I asked the man who attends if he didn't have a better quality coffee or at least a new brand that would allow me to find a new flavor that would change my opinion about those traditional bags that everyone buys.
The man from the supermarket was very kind to me, and honestly I think he was surprised that someone as young as I knew so much about coffee and was looking for something that tasted good, so he complimented me on my way of speaking, and I didn't miss an opportunity to talk to him about hive and my wonderful friends from the @cinnccf community where I learned almost everything I know about this drink that I like so much, with which the man was impressed and even congratulated me again for the things I do.
So he searched the inventory to see what he could offer me and told me to wait a few minutes that in the warehouse he had a new artisan brand that had not yet been released to the public because it only arrived in his hands in the morning, it was like this after a short wait he brought me directly from a large package that opened before my eyes this coffee called Niquitao, frankly just the smell that came out when they opened that box was already very good, so I bought it immediately to bring it home and prepare it at snack time.
Additionally, my mom bought me a traditional sweet from my country to accompany this special snack that I wanted to make today, you may not know this dessert, on the other side of the world it is called golfeado, it is a roll of soft dough similar to that of the bread to which they add a syrup made from toasted sugar cane which gives it that magnificent caramel color and a slightly smoky touch of flavor that contrasts very well with the white cheese that is scratched on top.
Returning to Niquitao coffee, I tell you my review about this brand, which comes from the city of Boconó, Trujillo state, Venezuela, one of the areas where the best coffee in this country is grown, the packaging adds a very detailed description that It is located as a 100% natural product of the gourmet type of Arabica grain, roasted, ground and vacuum packed in a very nice and elegant dark brown bag with red lines and gold letters, which gives it a quite striking appeal.
The flavor of this coffee is really very good, that is if it is strong and concentrated, which is pleasant when you drink it because it gives a tasty taste without being bitter, when I try it I can say that I felt a touch that is really different from what I have tasted in other industrial coffees.
The color is also very good, directly in contact with the hot water you can see how it releases that great essence that quickly makes the water change color, also giving off a magnificent smell that I liked very much.
To close this review I want to tell you that I cordially invite you to try this brand when you get it in a supermarket, despite being little known, it offers great quality and freshness with a pretty good flavor that I am sure you will like it as much as I do.
I say goodbye until a next installment.
