It was a calm weekend, a day of not worrying anything about class. I was lying on my bed rewatching my favorite Grey’s Anatomy episodes when my two best friends unexpectedly showed up at our place and suggested that we go to this pleasant and relaxing café we had planned to visit (many many days ago). I would constantly deny my friends' invitations to go to cafés to work on our thesis because I knew we would just be talking, gossiping, making tiktok videos, playing video/phone games and eating out afterwards, which is undeniably enjoyable but is quite a waste of time and money. Going to a café with my friends would be just 15% working on school activities and the rest is history but it’s still worth it though. So what they do whenever I decline their invitation? Well they would suddenly show up at my place without me knowing just to pick me and I would have no choice but to quickly bathe and dress up to be able to join them. Clever right?
Tom N Tom’s Coffee is quite a known café here in the Philippines but when I found its branch at 88th Avenue Commercial Park located in Gov. M. Cuenco Ave here in Cebu City I was astonished. It was different from any other cafes I have ever been to. When I first went there with my sister's friends, there were a lot of students maybe because of its chill ambiance and there were also meeting rooms and cubicles if costumers wish to work privately, which is why we couldn't have coffee because there weren't any vacant tables left so we just transferred which is a little disappointing. So when my friends went to my place and told me that we I should bring them there, even if I was too lazy, I still want to go because it is really a lovely place.
We were relieved to find only a few people when we arrived. We ordered and looked for a table near a power outlet for our laptops, but it was pointless because their internet connection kind of limited during that time. Limited internet connection leads to more talking, and eating than doing the thesis. That is what I was talking about earlier hahaha but it was greatly fine cause their coffees and sides are actually really really good and let me share to you guys our personal favorite, the “Caramel Cinnamon Bread”. (While typing this my mouth is watering hahaha)
After we finished everything (not our thesis) our food and the talking. We then headed home.
Thank you everyone for reading, see you on the ne... No, I’m kidding we actually went back after a couple of weeks because we were really in loved with the place. It was post Typhoon Odette when we came back. There was a little damage on the outside part of the building where it is located from but the place still looks good and of course we wouldn’t miss buying our favorite Caramel Cinnamon Bread.
Thank you for having the patience to read up till here. Treasure your family and friends. Spread Love!
