Hi fellow hivers and members of CinnamonCupCoffee. Last week I had the lovely opportunity to catch up with a friend. We had been trying to meet for months. She bought me a drink at “Caffera” , an Italian coffee shop. Over the years, I’ve passed by the shop but just had never stopped. I had always seen customers sitting outside, enjoying their coffee and conversations. I’m usually off to do some errands of sort in that area.
Dining area and outdoor
What a lovely stop it was. We entered the cafe to get to the outdoor sitting area. I did notice that there were very few seats inside. It meant that most customers had coffee or tea…al fresco.
The atmosphere was so relaxing. The cool, gentle, wind was a perfect match for our cups of warm beverages. For more warmth, we covered our laps with light blankets provided by the cafe. We chatted and occasionally viewed people passing by. It was a good way to catch up with a good friend.
Drink Orders
Cappuccino served with two squares of chocolate.
My friend ordered a cappuccino. It came with two squares of delicious chocolate. For me she ordered a Uji Matcha Latte. It came with financier. We both stirred our drinks in great anticipation. They were delicious.

A few minutes in our conversation we unexpectedly met a friend who also stopped by the cafe. We chatted with her for a bit and a few minutes later, we saw her chatting with another friend who she also had seemed to have met unexpectedly. After all, a coffee shop is a great place to meet, catch up and have chats with friends (whether planned or unplanned).

Leaving the Cafe
After leaving the cafe, we decided to take a different route. We both headed home but went to a train station we hadn’t been to. There were some beautiful stained glass. We took a few shots and then got our trains.
