Yes, coffee has been part of the DNA of my family tree since time immemorial, I have Spanish-Canarian ancestry. Just like the coffee plant, everything that has to do with coffee is a deep-rooted family tradition that we have cultivated in all circumstances of life; a cup of coffee has always been our catalyst.
I still have in my olfactory memory the aroma of the coffee that my mother used to prepare very early in the morning to say good morning with a kiss and a hug to my father before he left for work. That maternal image is very present in my life. I am addicted to the divine elixir of coffee, it is my companion in the waking hours when the inspiration comes to write a poem, this is my other addiction. I could not write without the ink of coffee circulating in me.
Coffee smells like freshly ground heaven.
