I was craving coffee and was also in the mood for some pasta and salad. I didn’t have any appetite for sweets, so cakes or muffins weren’t on my mind. Upon entering the cafe, I noticed that there were only a few quiet customers, which I appreciated. I enjoyed the calm ambiance; it felt very friendly.
I found a table near the glass so I could have a view outside. Then, I went to the counter and ordered a Caramel Macchiato, Tomato Pasta, and Chinese Tuna Salad.
After returning to my table, I took a moment to enjoy the refreshing view outside. Although I should have gone home after paying my bill, I decided to stay in the city because my client from Pagadian was scheduled to arrive at 1:00 PM. He wanted to inspect the warehouse they were considering renting and review all the necessary documents before making a payment.
In just ten minutes, my orders were served. This midday escape was exactly what I needed, as I was quite hungry. First, the highlight was my Caramel Macchiato. The first sip was heavenly; the rich espresso combined with steamed milk and a drizzle of sweet, buttery caramel was delightful. I had tried Caramel Macchiato in other cafes, but this one was perfectly balanced and just what I needed to brighten my afternoon.
Next, the tomato pasta, which was a classic dish done right. It was simple yet very comforting. The pasta was cooked al dente, and the tomato sauce was savory and genuinely fresh, without being overly acidic or sweet. This dish served as the perfect counterpoint to the Chinese tuna salad. I initially thought the portion size was large, but it was just right, leaving me content without feeling overfull.
