Creme Brûlée Coffee And Its Pairing
For the last two days, I have been bored to death. I wanted to go on a safari but dropped the idea because I can’t find anyone to go with. So, I was thinking hard enough just to find something that could entertain me for the time being. I ended up deciding to go for a swim. I went to swim at around 4 to 6 PM. I also took my mom with me and after our swimming session, we went to a coffee shop.
Actually, I wanted to go before the swimming session but since I didn’t want to swim past 7 PM, I ended up burying the idea of coffee before swimming. We went to a place called Eazy Coffee. In the past, I went to this place but not with my mom. It was my mom’s first time.
I realized that in the past, I was often talking about how the cafe looks and how it is decorated. But today, I want to specifically highlight the coffee and the choices of pairing that this place has.
It’s really hard to call this place just for a coffee shop. The place is something of a bistro too. It has an extensive menu from appetizers to desserts. Their coffee is hands down one of the best in town and in high-quality too.
To pair with my coffee, I got the croissant sandwich with fries. While my mom got beef teriyaki on rice with egg. We also ordered pizza, nachos, and bruschetta. My mom was at first confused what to choose but ended up with iced hazelnut chocolate.
Taste Test
I chose Creme Brûlée Coffee and my mom picked chocolate with hazelnut syrup. If you ask me how Creme Brûlée tastes, think of it as having any caramel with vanilla flavor and the coffee was not something fruity but nutty. So, the barista did a great job of not messing up the flavor of the Creme Brûlée. After the swimming session, the coffee was perfect. I haven’t had coffee since morning and that coffee wasn’t too strong. It was mild and just enough to keep me awake for more before hitting the hay.
The Iced chocolate hazelnut was really good according to my mom. When I had a sip, it wasn't too sweet which was pleasant. The chocolate and the nutty flavor blends really well. Unfortunately, the glass was rather small because I'd love to have it more.
The croissant sandwich with the egg that was dripping was really good. It was a mix of savory and sweet when paired with the coffee. And I swear, it was a treat after some exhausting swimming session.
The beef teriyaki on rice was the same. My mom told me that she really likes it. The beef was not too chewy and the overall flavor was good. It was not too savory when paired with chocolate hazelnut. The meal compliments the drinks.
The pizza was the first that came and it was something that I didn't expect to taste good. But it did. The pizza was exceeding my expectation. It may be strange to pair coffee with pizza but really, to me anything can be paired with coffee.
I really had no complaints about the food even including the nachos and the bruscheetta.
Though we were seated outside of the air conditioned room, the eating experience was pleasant. My cousin Ray was there too and talked about our future plan to exercise and also more swimming sessions. I haven’t really had a pleasant cafe time and coffee experience but today, it was really pleasant. It boosted my mood by 100000x and I am no longer grumpy.
Though I don’t like this place to work from but for the food, it really is some excellent cooking skills. In this small town, it’s already hard to find western food with decent taste and this place never disappoints me when it comes to that. Though I have a hate-love relationship with this place, I am now loving the place but I definitely won’t go here and bring my laptop. Just coming here, eating snacks, and coffee whilst chit chatting is a better experience to have in this cafe.
PS: Also, I tried to remember to take the menu section after @asasiklause mentioned about it before haha
Have you ever tried Creme Brûlée Coffee?
