I don't know about other countries, but in Indonesia, carrying a Starbucks tumbler and even its reusable cup is considered fancy. There are certain attributes associated if you are showing Starbucks items. Even some reviews I watched mention this reusable cup as props to take pictures to elevate the social status on the gram for its owner. That is without a doubt, Starbucks itself is marketed for medium to high-end consumers.Since carrying Starbucks items is attributed with certain social symbols, there are plenty of sellers online who are selling Starbucks reusable cups at a higher price.At first, I didn't know about it until I was trying to find reviews since I want to get one.
To get the reusable cup, you can buy certain coffee or non coffee with additional 0.99$ for the reusable cup. So, since it was my meal time, I decided to get the biscotti latte and salted caramel coffee frappuccino alongside a beef filone sandwich.Those two coffee drinks were actually too sugary for my taste. Drinking those was like drinking 1kg of sugar.
In the picture of my grab app, I should have gotten the cup with the round lid. But after arrival, I got the normal lid.I was a bit disappointed but I reckon, that's fine.
The reusable cup plastic is quite thick. Though, it wasn't better than the Mcdonalds reusable cup that I have.The design is quite minimalistic and abstract. Overall, it was an okay cup.One thing that I would like to know is if I visit Starbucks and bring the cup, would I actually save some more money?I have never tried bringing the reusable cup so, that's something I'd love to try in the future.Overall, I think getting the reusable cup was quite worth it since the plastic isn't so bad after all.
Another thing about delivery Starbucks is how I like getting their reusable bag. So far, I already have 3 of them and I am feeling bad about collecting them. Maybe, I could resell it and see if it has any value on the market just like the reusable cups. And voila! I just checked as I am writing this, the bag itself has a market value around 2$ while I got the bag for only 0.5$. Who would have thought?
