If you're in Thailand, make sure not to miss coffee from 7/11. They're Mac's approved :D

100 Baht coffee that now changed my mind. It's indeed overpriced haha
When I first arrived in Thailand, I was a little skeptical with the quality of coffee from 7/11. I mean, it's a convenient store coffee and I obviously can't expect a specialty coffee, cafe-like and a good one.
It does not matter how many people told me that I should try it, only on my 2nd month there, I braced myself to try it. It costs 35 to 45 Baht/coffee depending on the size and they even sell caramel macchiato for 45 baht!
The thing is, their coffee is not that bad. It's espresso with fresh beans but the only difference is that they sell it as fast-coffee. You can definitely appreciate that they're not using instant coffee. When compared to the cafe in front of it, the coffee sure tastes quite different but if you are not a coffee connoisseur snob you can't really tell the difference. Like my friend, manuel, he definitely can't tell the difference because coffee to him is just another energy drink. He drinks it for the caffeine but not the taste. To me, the only difference I can taste is the milk quality and the coffee that you can't really taste compared the specialty coffee or cafe grade that you can still taste the coffee profile on it. For 1$ coffee, compared to what I would get home, it's day and night. You can even see that 7/11 decorated the cup quite intriguing too showing symbols that screams, " Thailand".
If you remember, I also reviewed " Sunrise Home Cafe" now after trying out some cafe around, sadly I have to agree with my german friend, it's a little too overpriced. But it was my office in Thailand so, I assume I was paying the price for the service rather the coffee. But if you already have a co-working space or work from library etc, 7/11 isn't a bad idea to get your caffeine fix + actually a decent taste coffee as well.
