🌟 Greetings, my coffelovers! ☕💖

In March of this year, I had to make an unexpected trip to my hometown due to the passing of an aunt. I decided to leave my family at home, as going all together would involve a significant expense. After saying goodbye to them, I spent a few days with my loved ones, including my parents who reside there. Although the trip is short, it is difficult for me to visit them as often as I would like to, mainly because of the transportation problems we face.

While I was there, I called home to see how things were going and was surprised to receive the news that my husband had had an accident in the early hours of the morning. He got tangled up while going to the bathroom, and all his weight fell on his right hand, causing bruises on various parts of his body. That's why I prefer to be at home; every time I go out, something always seems to happen. It's as if life is telling me to go home right away.

The next day, I returned to the city and accompanied my husband to the clinic. X-rays were taken to determine if he had a fracture, and thank God, this was not the case. He was prescribed a treatment, but after following it, the discomfort persisted, so we decided to consult a specialist to understand what was going on. And what a surprise! My husband was informed that he needed an operation on his right hand, as the fall had damaged his tendon. This news was very difficult to receive, especially because in our country the health issue is very complicated.

I am infinitely grateful to my husband's family, as they are very close and are always there to support us in any situation. We started with the paperwork and the day of the operation arrived. So, before eight o'clock in the morning, my husband, my youngest son and I headed to the clinic. Unfortunately, my in-laws could not accompany us due to my father-in-law's health problems, but spiritually we felt that they were with us. When it was time to enter the operating room, I confess I was very nervous; although it was an outpatient surgery, it was delicate.

I told my son that I urgently needed a large coffee to relax and try to forget my nerves, as I needed to be calm to support the situation while we waited. He, ever obedient, went to the coffee shop and ordered a large coffee to go. Upon arrival, the first thing I did was to try a sip, and I felt how this great elixir of life and vitality calmed me down. It was a black espresso, the best for the occasion. I enjoyed every drop of that coffee in the company of my son, because we are both true lovers of this beverage.

After an hour and a half, my husband came out of the operating room, and our faces lit up with happiness and gratitude to know that everything had turned out excellent. En marzo de este año, tuve que hacer un viaje inesperado a mi pueblo debido al fallecimiento de una tía. Decidí dejar a mi familia en casa, ya que ir todos juntos implicaría un gasto importante. Después de despedirme de ellos, pasé unos días con mis seres queridos, incluyendo a mis padres que residen allí. Aunque el trayecto es corto, me resulta complicado visitarlos con la frecuencia que quisiera, principalmente por los problemas de transporte que vivimos para trasladarnos.

Mientras estaba allá, llamé a casa para saber cómo estaban las cosas y me llevé la sorpresa de recibir la noticia de que mi esposo había tenido un accidente en la madrugada. Se enredó mientras iba al baño, y todo su peso cayó sobre su mano derecha, causándole hematomas en varias partes de su cuerpo. Por eso, prefiero estar en casa; cada vez que salgo, parece que siempre sucede algo. Es como si la vida me estuviera diciendo que regrese a casa de inmediato.

Al día siguiente, regresé a la ciudad y acompañé a mi esposo a la clínica. Le realizaron radiografías para determinar si tenía alguna fractura, y gracias a Dios, no era el caso. Le indicaron un tratamiento, pero después de seguirlo, el malestar persistió, así que decidimos consultar a un especialista para entender qué estaba sucediendo. ¡Y vaya sorpresa! A mi esposo le informaron que necesitaba una operación en la mano derecha, ya que la caída había dañado su tendón. Esta noticia fue muy difícil de recibir, especialmente porque en nuestro país el tema de salud es muy complicado.

Agradezco infinitamente a la familia de mi esposo, ya que son muy unidos y siempre están presentes para apoyarnos en cualquier situación. Comenzamos con los trámites y llegó el día de la operación. Así que, antes de las ocho de la mañana, mi esposo, mi hijo menor y yo nos dirigimos a la clínica. Lamentablemente, mis suegros no pudieron acompañarnos debido a problemas de salud de mi suegro, pero espiritualmente sentíamos que estaban con nosotros. Cuando llegó el momento de entrar al quirófano, confieso que estaba muy nerviosa; aunque se trataba de una cirugía ambulatoria, era delicada.

Le dije a mi hijo que me urgía un café grande para relajarme y tratar de olvidar los nervios, ya que necesitaba estar tranquila para apoyar la situación mientras esperábamos. Él, siempre obediente, se fue al cafetín y pidió un café grande para llevar. Al llegar, lo primero que hice fue probar un sorbo, y sentí cómo este gran elixir de vida y vitalidad me calmaba. Era un espresso negro, el mejor para la ocasión. Disfruté cada gota de ese café en compañía de mi hijo, porque ambos somos auténticos amantes de esta bebida.

A la hora y media, mi esposo salió del quirófano, y nuestras caras se iluminaron con felicidad y gratitud al saber que todo había salido excelente. Mis amigos cafeteros, ahora me despido deseándoles un hermoso día y esperando que disfruten tanto como yo de este café, ideal para relajarnos en momentos de angustia.
