Sometimes I wake up with the mental dilemma, whether tea or coffee, I woke up very early today with that feeling, choose who will do the first, both by natural law and gastronomic have their points in favor, coffee for its part for its high caffeine content, increases energy, improves concentration, physical performance, is a natural antioxidant and above all help speed up metabolism. While tea, although it has similar properties to coffee, I like it for its calming and relaxing effects, it is a natural antioxidant, with properties that contribute to cardiovascular health and regulates metabolism.
I can only tell you that I have said it many times in this community, my mornings start with a cup of coffee, its robust and bitter flavor activates my body for the morning journey, so that is my choice, coffee is my choice in the morning, unless I wake up with a swollen belly or with a lot of gas, as sometimes happens when I drink a lot of milk at night or when I am in the process of menstruation, tea relieves me of those discomforts, in those cases tea wins.
Since I can not drink coffee in the afternoons, because if I take it it causes insomnia, then to relieve those cravings, I have chosen to drink tea, varying them according to the need or taste I have that day, most I do them naturally, with plants or natural seasonings, the most recent, today afternoon, I was not feeling quite well, that feeling of discomfort of headache, I know that oregano, is perfect for that symptom.
I did not hesitate much, so I got down to work and prepared my tea, put a pot with water, let it boil, added a handful of oregano leaves, waited about 2 minutes, turn it off, remove from heat, cover it for 5 minutes, enough time for the water to absorb the flavor and properties of oregano, strain it into my jumbo cup, add lemon to taste and taste, I do not like to add sugar. This tea is very effective for headaches, as it has anti-inflammatory properties, I recommend it when you have discomfort from headaches or flu or stomach upset, it has properties that activate the immune system, digestion, relieves nasal congestion and colds.
Today I also had a feast with my jumbo cup, very early in the morning, with a new coffee, I hope to share it very soon here, I loved that bitter taste in my mouth, the fruity smell, that ready my nostrils, preparing them for the final banquet, happy every time I prepare my morning ritual, more when I taste more than one cup.
As for coffee and tea, it is clear that in the mornings, I prefer my steaming coffee, it is my boost in the mornings, I feel it gives me that extra boost of energy I need to be active in my daily activities, especially when I do physical activities; and in the afternoons I prefer tea, it relaxes me and calms my body, lowering anxiety and stress after coming from work; many times at night, I also prepare myself a tea before going to sleep, to help me fall asleep better and sleep like a baby 😁.
